Thing are bad all over. It's scary. Right now I'm on a meeting where we're discussing our outsourcing effort...

There will be many more to come and this global gloomy economy will take us for seven (7) years. So, what else to say and matter-of-fact this issue is not one country's burden, it shrouded all 257 countries in this world. I am a self-employment, of course it is a scary one. No choice, as life has to carry on. Hoping he best while at the same time expecting the worst.

People just do not understand and most have never gone through anything like we are currently experiencing in this country. Only us older generation remember how things were back during the depression. I do believe that this one will not get to that level but it will be bad and take several years to return to a level which is acceptable. To get back to the same level we were at before the po hit the fan will take 5-10 years. I am one of the fortunate ones I guess. I am retired and do not have to worry about loosing a job. All I have to worry about is if my retirement will be enough to live on as things get progressively worse befor they turn around. Prayer helps.

I am unemployed I am making it ok right now, I am reading e-mail answering discussion here in Mylot,I am doing some other things to to make it work out ok, but I am not giving up, I am here on Mylot everyday answering these discussions, I have a schedule for my self, and I try hard to stick to it because, if I don't and I fall behind I have to stay up late, like tonight and answer a lot of discussions.

You are right. American people are facing worst effects of recession. Its effects are also on other countries . In my country India, Share Market and diamond market are hit the most. Many a people are jobless and facing lot of tension. Once upon a time in India, Share market and Diamond market were best. If some one gets a job all were very happy and were feeling that for life time that person will not have to search another job. To day time has changed. People do not know what to do. How to feed their family and pay for the education of their children.
I am a self employed and not to worry. But lot of friends and relatives are in financial trouble. I feel you should not worry unnecessarily. Your husband is on job and it will continue. you also work at home and earn some dollars. Only suggestion I can give you is keep your expenses in limit. Avoid new expenses. Prayers are best. Things will be normal very soon.

Yes, this downturn is just about the worst I have known. There are firms in the UK that are closing down and there are some that have been operating more than 100 years. I feel that this can't go on forever because people will always need housing, clothes and food. I think the more people that can stay positive and visualise positive things in the world, the sooner things will turn around. After all, it is all about confidence, which begins in each of our minds :-) Derek

Oh wow this is the first I have heard of this , this is bad. I come from a family of Harley riders and this will hit us hard if they go out all together.
