Looking for dvd software |
|
Does anyone know where I can find freeware to play my dvd's on my computer. I keep getting errors like I need a codec or something. I installed nero 7 but we already had it on one computer in the house and it quit working. I'm tired of everyone wanting more and more money. I found another one but they want me to download a toolbar on my internet browser that pops up ads (I think not!!!). Another one I believe its called avs worked ok a little bit but they want you to subscribe. I want something I can watch any dvd I have in the house and I want to convert video formats to burn dvd's in my regular dvd player on my tv. Can anyone please help me???

| 1. apiekind (26) | 1 year ago | Hi cableman ... for the playing part, i use media player classic, you can download it free, it plays just about anything out there, i have never had anything i cant watch on it. you can look for it at free-codecs.com i think. Another is vlc player, i dont personally use it but people say its good.
Burning and converting bit ... hmm i dont realy do that so i dont use such programs, but to start with you can use VirtualDub or NanDub i think. You can probably get that at free-codecs as well, or just google it:)
Hope i helped somewhat:) Have a nice day!

cableman67 (384) | 1 year ago | Thank you so much for your response. I will download and try these programs in a little while. I think I will take your advice and try the media player classic. I just also need something to convert my movies to dvd format and burn then to dvd because my computer space is getting low. Thank you again

| apiekind (26) | 1 year ago | Heya, about the convert/burning bit. I used a progem to "rip" all my dvd's a while back, by a while i mean 2 or 3 years maybe. It converts your dvd format to a 600-700mb while depending on all of the data off course. The program was 1ClickDVDRipper .. you can try and search it on google, if it still exists? Im not one to go all out on pirated stuff, but in this case (at the time) i realy needed something to rip my dvd's with, and downloaded that program along with a crack. These days im not realy into doing that, since i own most dvd's i like and watch them only when i realy need to:) to preserve them oof course). But have a look for them, i would even buy it if i were still that much into all that.
best off luck to you!
apie O,..,o

2. etavasi (355) | 1 year ago | Try cycberlink dvd software, this software i use alot to watch movie inside computer which is can play dvd or vcd type files. I use this so many times, and i think it go maybe you can try this. The problem is you need to pay to get the serial code i think. Then what you can do is try find at shop that selling software, maybe you can buy new one. Other ways is download the cyberlink dvd software which have with crack or key serial provided. If it is a old version, don't worry you still can watch dvd. I like to use windows media classic too it is free and can open lots of video.

VLC can play any format and even 123 Classic palyer is also capable of playing any fromats. If you want to go for a real DVD experience i suggest you to go for power DVD it is simply the best.
