what do you use social networking sites for?

I use Myspace to promote my work stuff, and I use Facebook for that, too - in addition to keep in touch with friends. The people on my friends list on Facebook keep in touch with me FAR more in comparison to Myspace, but I think it's because it's so easy to comment on status updates.

Well, I have never ever been on Myspace. I used hi5 for 6 months, Facebook for like couple of years and now I am on Orkut. And anyways Mylot has given value to the words that we type so I would rather be typing here that typing scraps on Orkut.

I use myspace for promotions because it seems like it is mostly kids that interact on the site. I use facebook to keep up with my friends from high school, ect....

I use facebook because it's easy to keep up with what's going on in my friends lives now that i've moved away. i'm not mu.ch of an emailer so it seems more acceptable to write a little blurb from time to time on someone's wall then send what might seem a half-hearted email

i'm on facebook to to make new friends.

some poeple use it as a dating site.

but i think it's mostly used to keep intouch, and to connect

people around the world.

Social networking sites nowadays are a great way to keep contact with your friends. Although there is a strong opinion is that it makes you lazy to meet them but I personally feel that it is good for them who are not near to meet. With globalisation people have spread across the world. So it is not possible every time to get in touch with them personally and made them physically for social networking websites and other such websites are a definite boon to us. We can login and have a good discussion with them over the Internet without much of a farce. So I personally feel that these Tiber websites are definitely a great way for communication. Every technology and every development has a good point and the back point about it and it is our own responsibility to use it in the positive manner.

I started with Myspace just because iI kept hearing about on the news and stuff and was curious. I'm glad I got into it though, because I learned a lot about html. I found a lot of friends from high school and college and many of them I stay in pretty close contact with via Myspace. Plus I'm lame and love the surveys. You just learn so much about people though them! There are plenty of people that once I found out about where they were living and what they were doing my curiosity was satisfied and I don't talk to them much anymore. I got super addicted to the apps for a while and there are still a few I play daily. In the 3 or so years I've been a member there have been very few days I haven't logged in.

I'm both on Facebook and MySpace but rarely go to them...to be honest I just don't have the time to hang out at social networking places...don't ask how many people have "pinged" me or left some kind of "thing a ma jig" on my Facebook page...tend to ignore them..LOL. Facebook WAS instrumental though in helping me reconnect with a friend I hadn't heard from in about eleven years though..without that I would never have found him

I have a facebook and myspace. I use them to keep in touch with friends and family. I also like to play the apps i have several people on my friends list i don't accaully know but they are on my apps. I have even used meet new people around where i live. I use my space as a internet storage for my photos. I use to invite people to parties and family gatherings. I also use them to keep my mother up todate on her grand-daughter with videos.

Am using social sites for numerous and good purposes.Am a member of facebook, myspace,yuwie,orkut,bebo,hi5 and friendster.Am really having a nice time over these places.i have gained a lot of friends over these social sites.Am learning new things like creating applications for my blog,sites,badges and widgets and so on.Apart from these things am earning a good amount of money by sharing pictures here.Am also earning by creating impressions on Myspace,bebeo and facebook by working for the site called socialmedia.com where we have to create applications and generate impressions.
