Live-In relations or Marriage?  | |  Though it's an age old topic but it always brings in new concepts and views. Lets see what this forum has to offer.
Building a relationship is tough but to maintain it is even tougher, specially if there is compromise involved and of no commitment. I think live-in relations have got it benefits but lacks in the basic.

For me marriage is simply a peice of paper i dont feel it changes the way you feel about another person i dont think it makes anyone more likely to stay faithful or to try any harder.
I am not married to my partner weve been together 7 years and share everything i wouldnt treat him or love him any differently if we were married and i certainly dont think we lack in any aspect!

I don't think you got my point. Here living together is not the point but most of the live-in relations (your might be exception for which you are the best judge), since it's not a commitment, results in compromise. And since there is no commitment if there comes a difference in the later period of living-together, there is only one way out. The children will suffer the most in that case.
Commitment I believe gives you another chance to reconcile, look back and reconsider. Besides if you love a person only when he/she is good to you is not love.

People who cohabitate as a couple, or a couple that might not even live together on a daily basis, can be just as devoted and dedicated as a married couple, and sometimes more so.
