Not always i know for me i sit this way because i was taught girls should sit with their legs closed.

No that is not true the girls sit like that to stop you boys looking up their skirts,I think she was pulling your leg.

I would actually think it's the opposite. Many women sit cross legged because they are raised to think that it's what a lady does when she is wearing a skirt. It's practical because sitting cross legged in a skirt hides what many men would try to be looking at. So I don't see where your friend gets the idea that she is feeling erotic. Sure, some might do it to hide the fact that they are aroused, but you can't count on this since many do it just because it's habit.

A woman may not always un-cross her legs when she feels erotic, but if she does then you can count on this more than crossing to tell you she's aroused. If a woman is wearing a skirt and purposely doesn't cross her legs, then there is a better chance(no 100% mind you) that she's aroused.
