BUTT, I Need To Exercise My Butt! |
|
Yea man, I really need to exercise my Butt! Got your attention? No kidding!
I'm looking at one of those exercise balls. Do any of you have and USE one of those? I really need something fun that will also cushion my bad back. I know that getting some weight off will help with my back. I'm not a skinny fanatic but I just need some toning and to lose about 30 pounds.
What I need is something fun that I don't get bored with. I've seen some use those exercise balls as computer chairs. Bounce and Type! Woohooo! What do you think? Would this work my legs and butt while cushioning my back?

23. usafwifey_opinion (406) | 11 months ago | Squats are the best and also lunges! It will really tone your buns and your legs, & things. If you ever feel sore on those areas, that just tells you that it's working for you. hahaha. If you're looking for exercise balls, I suggest you go to a Big 5 or Sports authority. If you want to lose weight, a good run is the best way to sweat! Or walk for 20 minutes... You can walk and do lunges, and squats at the same time

27. Shar19 (2770) | 11 months ago | Ah yes, the exercise ball. I have one of those. Do I use it? No. I think I may have used it about two times. It came with a DVD and you really need to have good balance to do the exercises. It's not easy. I do have a neighbor that uses it to sit on while she's on the computer too. She says it works the core muscles.

29. bellis716 (1494) | 11 months ago | An exercise ball can be useful, but I didn't find it a lot of fun. You can exercise the same muscles as those used in the bouncing on the ball you mentioned with a chair, which surely you already have. The best exercise to lose weight is walking or jogging, with weights. They tell me that a weighted vest can be purchased at any sporting goods store. I have not checked that out, as I already have an assortment of hand weights. Check the internet for suggested exercises before you make any purchases. Exercise equipment isn't the most attractive decoration for your living room. Even that exercise ball takes up room. I hide my weights under the bed when I'm not using them, but the ball won't go under there unless it is deflated.

Irishfrndly65 (7338) | 11 months ago | I planning to use it as an office chair as well, so it will store under my desk quite nicely, though good point!

|
|
bellis716 (1494) | 11 months ago | Uing the ball as an office chair is an excellent idea. It will improve core strength, thus helping your back. It will also help with your balance. Even if you don't lose the weight, you'll look and feel better. Remember that muscle weighs more than fat.

30. nerdytina (2037) | 11 months ago | I have a stability ball and absolutely love it--mostly because it helps me mix up my exercise routine so I don't get bored. There are lots of exercises you can do--and like others have said, it's great for the abs (which, of course, from what I've heard--can definitely help with the back). I'm not sure about how much it may cushion your back while working your legs and butt--but there are definitely some possibilities because there are a ton of things you can do with it. I use videos online that have helped me use the thing, maybe you can youtube "stability ball" and get some ideas.
