Jobs I wouldn't want

With this being one of the coldest winters we have had in a long time, I have been thinking about this a lot lately... especially when the news reporters show people who have to work outside in these minus 20-40 degree celsius temperatures. There was a time when construction was halted during the winter months, workers were laid off. Not anymore. They are out there on rooftops on the coldest of days hammering away.

Yes, letter carriers also have it tough. I'm sure these would be nice jobs to have in the summer, but the winter is just awful. I couldn't take it.

I used to bring packages door to door.
As a postman, delivering packages. I loved that job.
It is not as bad, once you get used to the weather situations.
Sure it can be cold, but on the other hand you are independently active.

Jobs I would not want, are jobs in teams.
I get nervous from all these know it alls.
I like to work independently, this way I have less stress.
But, unfortunately that is not always possible.

I don't like people telling me what to do, or how to do it either. hahaha!

As a former letter carrier who did the job for 18 years, I thank you!! When I first started, there were bad days when the weather was bad and all that fun stuff but we were treated like human beings and told that our safety was the most important thing and if we had a chance to take shelter for a few minutes it was fine to do so. Now carriers have to account for literally every minute and if they fall behind, no matter what the conditions or mail volume is, they're in trouble. SPEED is all that matters to postal management these days and the almighty dollar. If the carriers get done on time and save overtime the post master gets a big bonus. I was finally forced out due to health problems. Finally today I go approved for Social Security Disability!
