Why people are they way they are?

I decided to get some stress off my chest because I have been living witht his stress for a little bit over seventeen years and you would think that after all this time the situation would have gotten a little bit better but no not at all. Basically I will be eight-teen in November and I really can not wait because me and my mother does not get alone at all. I mean there is times where she wants for you to be her best friend and then there are times where she wants to be you mother which is understandable. I mean there is nothing wrong with wanting to have a friendship with your children but my thing is there is a time and a place for everything. Right? When she is drunk and wasted to the point where she can not stand let alone drive she wants to be your best friend or the next morning when she wants to know how absolutely ridiculous she actted it is okay to honest with her but other than that it is a sin from hell to tell her when you feel she out of place. But I guess that is life and people are they way the are because that's just the way life has made them. What I am asking you guys to do mylot is share a personal experience about someone in your life that you can't seem to figure out why they are this way. Thanks so much.
