Do you use a guide the first time you did something? |
I have like 20 different Runescape accounts, but I never really looked at a guide on my first account I made, on the others I just didn't feel like taking the time to do all that walking and preparing in the middle of it.

1. uath13 (3745) | 11 months ago | All those guides are common sense. They're just hoping to make a buck of noobs.

luvandpower (909) | 10 months ago | I don't know..some of them can be helpful like the harder quest.
| |
uath13 (3745) | 10 months ago | I thought you ment the "How to be a millionare in Runescape " guides that some sites sell. They're a complete rip off. Quest guides like the ones on Rune Hq or Tip It are useful. Or at least I hope so since I've helped write some of them.
| |
luvandpower (909) | 10 months ago | Oh wow, you actually helped write some of them? That is so awesome! Do you remember right off hand, which ones you wrote?
| |
uath13 (3745) | 10 months ago | While I didn't write up the original I did do some of the editing & extra input on several quests. Lets see..You might find my name in the credits on Dealing With Scarabas, Spirit of Summer & Summers End, I know you'll see my name under the Tormented Wraith description in the bestiary section of Tip it ( I did the original write up though someone else supplied the pic ), some of the treasure trail locations...etc. I've developed a reputation around RuneHQ & Tip-It. While I may not always get credit for the input it's usually included pretty soon after I submit it.

luvandpower (909) | 10 months ago | Ha ha you really are famous, wow, glad I know someone so famous:)

uath13 (3745) | 10 months ago | So is this my 5 minutes of fame I hear everyone gets once in a lifetime??? Should I get up & dance of something? Um...No, I won't curse you to see that. But hay, if I run into you on Runescape I'll dance a jig for ya.

luvandpower (909) | 10 months ago | lol...we probably will never meet your a member and I am not, but if we do meh...:)
| |
uath13 (3745) | 10 months ago | I get called to the nonmembers worlds to assist some of my other non member friends once in a while so it is possible.
| |
luvandpower (909) | 10 months ago | lol you so made that sound like a duty or a job or something.
| |
uath13 (3745) | 10 months ago | At times it can be. I get accosted by noobs & beggers as soon as they spot me on the nonmembers worlds. If I'm going to meet a friend I usually have to do it in some hidden spot so I don't end up leading around a parade. I used to enjoy vising the freeworlds & even had an apprenticeship program I ran for a while but after I passed a certain level it got all but impossible to do anymore.

luvandpower (909) | 10 months ago | Yeah, I used to help people myself and help mentor people, but to be honest, most people who play even on low levels have played the game for years.
| |
uath13 (3745) | 10 months ago | Back when ZZ & I were doing it the game was still pretty new. Back then you could tell who was just coming off tutorial island. We'd help them get their first set of armor & weapon then walk them through the easy Lumbridge area quests ( Cooks Assistant, Sheep Shearer, Restless Ghost, Imp Catcher & Rune Mysteries ). Now you can't tell if they're new to the game or just making a new character or if they just died & got sent back to lumbridge.

luvandpower (909) | 10 months ago | I used to enjoy it a lot, because they were like all excited but now...it just isn't the same.
