I guess I opened a bad can of worms...

The best thing to do about your star rating is ignore it. It is arbitrary and can be negatively affected more easily than positively. People don't even have to respond to your topic to rate it which I think is a mistake as it leads to star killing parties. I don't worry about what the star does personally, instead I look at the feedback I get to see how I stand around here.

Well, you have a 9 star rating i don't understand what you mean your star went down a point i see it 2 ways you had a 10 and it went down to 9 or your rating over for example 99/100 went down to 98/100 what do you mean? sometime you get rated negative by someone who didn't like your response to their discussion that's one way to lose your star rating...i know it happen to me it took months before i got it back matter of fact i just got it back 2 months ago.You got to be careful around here some say that it don't matter,but,when you have a good star rating it always look better than a low star rating...I know i take more notice what a fellow mylotter has to say when their star rating is high it just give that person more i guess respect...but you shouldn't fret you have the 2nd highest star rating you can obtain so...cheer-up and be happy about what you have accomplish...

At one time I was a perfect 10...then I ventured onto the Political board and it was downhill from there! I agree with the other responder...don't worry about your star ranking. It doesn't earn you more or less per post and people can and will use that - button as a weapon for little or no reason.

The first thing I thought when I saw your other discussion was "here come the trolls".

That was like waving a red flag at a bull, especially with all the negative activity here lately.

I'll plus you when I see you, but for future reference, don't talk about your star; it only eggs them on.
