tightening the belt

I was laid off in November but my husband is on V.A. disability and I'm collecting unemployment so we're not starving to death. We had already tightened our belts before I got the boot so we had a cushion of sorts. Christmas was difficult and then we decided to open a store with basically no money. This is definitely going to be an interesting year...whether it will be interesting in a good way or a bad way remains to be seen.

Hi barbie. I've been lucky too. As of now I haven't been effected either. I know it's coming though so I'm preparing as well. I think that it's going to be very important to do so now. Take care.

I have felt the crunch, I am on a low income and it really hurts when it comes to buying food I feel. I know things are looking up for me but I need to start saving money and budgeting what I get every month. Most of my income comes from online and I am looking to start my own website soon. I am glad you still have a job and know a lot of people are getting laid off from their jobs so i would be really greatful that you are not one of them. Good luck and have a nice evening.
