Do you the ending at the beginning

Can't say its the norm but I can say you're not alone.

My tendency towards writing by-the-seat-of-my-pants is renown in my writing circles. I tend to work in fantasy and science fiction genres and the characters really take on a life of their own after a while. I tend to get an idea in my head and I begin to write and suddenly inspiration or character actions really take things to a new level. Its really entertaining to see how the finished story changed so much from my hastily scribbled notes.

i pretty much like all the doors to still be open when i write a story. i like not knowing the ending; it keeps me on my toes. knowing the ending takes away my adrenaline and i lose interest.

but then again i'm not exactly a norm. so yeah, maybe we are the odd ones out. hehe.

I usually have a general idea about the story before I start writing it. I my head I have made a beginning, an end and the story itself. I usually think I that I have already made the story, but when I start writing it doesn't always turn out the way that I had planned. After a while I just write and let the story develop "by itself". I enjoy writng that way, but I don't always like the result that I get.
