Wholesale company- Can there be money made?

have you thought about seting up your own web site to advertise your products or puting adverts in the classifieds it is free to do on the net so wont have cost you anything if it doesnt work, the best way to sell is through word of mouth once you have sold a few things people wil be telling there friends about them and your profits will soon roll in

You need to find a product that is in demand. With ebay you can make a ton of money but you need to find the right market. I tried doing this and had some relative success, but I was doing it part time. In the two or three weeks I did it, I sold made maybe $200 in profit. What I did was go to bestbuy/circuit city/target/amazon and would buy TV on DVD that they had on sale. I would look at the prices online and then check ebay to see what I can make by doing this. I found out that the complete series was the best things to sell. It was hard work, but it can be done. It is hardest to start out since you have no ranking or anything, so people might not trust you. If an item didn't sell within two times putting it up I would return it to the store. The only problem with ebay is the fees they charge with. With individual series, it pretty must ruins profits, I would make maybe $5 per season at most after my expenses were taken out.

You just need to find and experiement with what products sell/what products don't and then buy those that do at wholesale levels.

I tried the drop ship thing with wholesale products through ebay. I was selling stuff but not really making a profit. I was finding that the cost from the wholesalers was not a bargain. Also I found this particular company I worked through was very slow with shipping. Not good for feedback. I did a lot of research to figure what was a hot sell which there are sections on ebay where you can read about that. There are also several other auction sites you could try as well.

Besides, regarding to your wholesale business, I would suggest you start a website to build your own brand. The budget is quite low (around $30 per year), but you can try many things. You can try to write reviews about your products and do your marketing. You can be more professional if you have your contact 800 number and your own website. In the worst case, you can not sell even one product, but you can still get money from your referrals and the online ads.

your idea has been appreciated but you cannot listed the product you make on wholesale.me too want business, that's why i surf the internet everyday but the problem is capital. i want to set-up my own internet cafe, because this business is easy to manage. don't be disappointed immediately, just go on with your plan. business has no sure for success, it's like gambling that no one can predict if win or loss. try and try until you succeed. even i have no idea on what business or products you want to make business i'm sure this is good and be prosper if make it positive.good luck

hello wuzzle. do you know that you are very lucky to find a wholesaler to sell their products online? ok, you might have started on a wrong foot. good you have ebay. now, here are some of my unsolicited suggestion. make a website, get a domain name then put some pictures of the product and talk about them . place a list buiding software on to your site so you can have leads to follow then get an auto responder so you can respond to all of them at the same time every week updating them your activities. now, aside from that, to gain more traffic on your website, post it on craigslist, post to different social bookmarks such as twitter, digg and stumbleupon. register yourself to different forums related to your product niche and to different sonial networks such as facebook and myspace. make yourself known. believe that you have a market for your product, every proiduct has its own niche market. focus on it, my friend. it is better to have that small niche market because you know there only a handful of them and definitely, these are the guys who will most likely buy your product rather than market it to the whole world and its a big pond out there considering you are a small fish amongst the biggies. focus and planning is the answer . it is not about the product, it all starts from your niche market.

I agree with the first responder here. you should advertise your product in the website. at least make one for your own. but it's also good if you also send out leaf lets or pamphlets to your near Neighborhood. and regarding to that wholesale business, make sure you do some research about it. remember we do have a financial crisis and so many companies are closing. even small and medium business are closing down in my neighborhood.

You need to study your product and your market if it is in demand by your market or not. Is it a good product and how about the price...is the price affordable. you just need to think about this so hard before you would start this wholesale biz of yours. just to make sure that you are not doing this for nothing...

you should come up with your own website by starting a well content blog about your product and have it posted on different blog hosting company, if you have knowledge on putting up a website much better, then create a traffic towards to your website by creating an article about the products, come up with an ad that would make your audience read it and eventually buy it, you can also sell your product offline via having it posted on different classified ads, and offering those items to several bazaar organizers and boutique shops inside the malls, you could also offer those items to your friends, relatives, nearby neighbors.

I tried a couple of companies. These are Doba and Shopster. A lot of their products are more expensive if you buy then somewhere else. I listed at least 5 products from each company which I thought would sell but did not sell a single product. I paid for listing it plus I pad 24.99 for my E-bay monthly membership fee. There is still hope for these 2 companies. I think you will be better of having your own online store (which they will set up for you) rather than listing it on E-bay.
