Do all guys always think big? |
|
I received an email today about what to buy your guy for Valentine's Day. This man said guys always think big so buy or make him something big like a big cookie or a big card. I thought about how guys want big screen tvs, etc. But then, as I was driving home from Walmart today I had a real ah-hah moment.
The button that opens our microwave oven door broke yesterday. Locked inside was a bag of unpopped popcorn. So my husband went out and bought a new microwave today. It didn't fit on our microwave stand so he put it on the counter. I told him in no uncertain terms that it wasn't staying there. I have very little counter space as it is; no way, no how. He told me to give it a few days and I'd get used to it. I packed the darn thing up myself and went back to Walmart and got a more practical sized microwave.
So as I'm driving home I remembered the email. Guys always think big. That's exactly what my husband did when it came to the microwave, and the big screen (40") television, the big old cars he used to drive, the bedroom set we bought years ago... yeah, he thinks big.
So what do you think? Do ALL guys think this way? Does everything have to be big?

I know that when my boyfriend buys things for me he doesn't think big! In fact he thinks small and cheap! But when it comes to him he sure thinks big and expensive! I wonder what that means! I think I'm really pissed now! He better get me something really big for Valentines Day!

2. Fishmomma (3523) | 11 months ago | Actually, all men don't think big, as my husband doesn't most of the time. He purchased a small microwave, car and television. I'm glad he is practical and realizes we can't waste money by buying something that we don't need now.

3. faith210 (8437) | 11 months ago | Hi patgalca! Maybe so. My husband insisted that we have to use the antique dining table for 8 that he got from his great great aunt and to think that we are just two in the family. lol..And if he has his way, he would buy his dream car which is an old car which is really huge, the kind that you see in 50s films. Yikes! It is not very practical since it will consume a lot of gasoline. lol.. Take care and have a great day! lovelots..faith

patgalca (6053) | 11 months ago | Can we go bigger? My husband wants to tear down a kitchen wall and open it up. On the other side of that wall is a china cabinet. Now where the heck is that gonna go? Geesh! We can renovate our kitchen without making it bigger.

5. maddysmommy (10990) | 11 months ago | When it came to the new tv (42"), new lounge suite (8 peice) and king size bed, he was thinking big. When it came to the car, he was thinking practical and we got a small suzuki SX4 which fits our family quite well. So sometimes he does think big and other times he thinks with his head lol
I must say he is quite generous when it comes to our birthdays for my son and I:)

patgalca (6053) | 11 months ago | I bought my husband's latest car... a sedan, practical, roomy but manageable to drive. When I met him he was drive a Lincoln and always wanted big cars after that so he bought used junkers that didn't last very long. He sure does spend money on the kids though. What they ask for, he usually gives them. Me? Yeah, he can go overboard sometimes when I'd rather he just get me a nice card.
