I have used both platforms but I have always turned back to AMD becuase I find their products to be better. Go AMD

2. daydreamer20 (768) | 10 months ago | I used to be an Intel fan until few years ago. I opted for AMD back then, for their AMD64 because the price difference is rather big and I was told by most of my friends that AMD can actually perform better. Thus I bought it and it's actually 30-40% cheaper than the Intel processor with the similar performance. The problem is, AMD is very hot! My entire desktop is very hot especially during gaming time. That's why I think it's better to get Intel chips since they have better cooling system and are not that hot.
As for laptops, it's a must to get Intel because their chips and processors are far more advanced in the world of laptop, and also because normal laptops do not have proper cooling system. Thus it's essential to get a processor or chip which is not very hot.

3. aspnaren (284) | 10 months ago | Both may look indifferent to a normal persons point of view, but technically speaking, Intel are good at 16bit and 32 bit processors and AMD is most preferabale when you go for a 64 bit processor, this I tell you from, deep comparison of various minute things in all processor. And any experienced professional in this field would suggest you the same...By the way happy mylotting

7. jickyeung (110) | 10 months ago | Recently I have bought three computers. The first one is AMD and that's the first time I tried AMD. I chose that just because it's much cheaper than Intel. However, I kept having problems with the Motherboard... I had to ask the shop for replacements for three time in order to find one that's working. For this reason, I didn't choose AMD anymore for the second and third machines. I cannot say using AMD is risky because many of my friends have positive feedback with AMD - Cheap, reliable, good for OC. But I also see the same comments for Intel! Therefore, I don't really know which one is better. But from my own experience, Intel is much stable. Yet, more expensive...

9. reon862 (110) | 10 months ago | well right now i'm running a laptop with an Intel, but i also have a desktop that runs an AMD. AMD as of recent times has fallen behind in the processor market (before they were just ballin processors to have). I can't deny though that i like my AMD more than my Intel, just seems to handle multi-tasking better than the intel (both are dual core at around 2ghz.
