What did Senator Daschle do for the Law Firm?

I would like to know what Senator Daschle did at the law firm to earn millions and get a car and driver? He is not a lawyer, he is not an accountant, he couldn't have been a lobbyist because President Obama would not have one working for his administration. What could he be doing for the Firm that would be worth millions to them? They have to bring in more that his salary and fringe benefits to make him a worth while employee.
