Carrine, the last time I checked my Webster's dictionary, I do remember that funky means stinky, smelly or anything that smells bad. So I googled it awhile ago just to be sure they haven't changed the meaning of funky, and it still is. Maybe you were looking for another term perhaps?

I remember one of the dialogue from a movie, diary of Lady M. It was like:
"I am a***king coward". The actor said to his wife when he was asked the same question. Couldn't help laughing on that dialogue.
