I have grown a lazy. |
|
Are you growing a beard? Nope! Growing a lazy. I hate shaving. Not because I hate the act of shaving. But because I'm cheap. I hate spending money on blades that last a whopping 3 shaves before it feels like I'm scraping my face with a lid from a tin can. The old blades that work for me are Mach 3 series blades by Gillett. Schick blades suck, blow, and are uncomfortable. I feel like I used a portable grinder on my face. I have a baby's bum tender face and I get wicked razor burn from them. I have had numerous electric razors too. I whined about my old Remington for too long, and so my wife did what she believed was a good thing and bought me a new razor for Christmas two years ago. She bought me a Braun. What a piece of crap that thing is. It's a great little razor if you like shaving several times a day. It's like every electric lawn mower I have owned. They bog down on a dandelion. Well this Braun bogs down on yesterday's growth of beard. If you don't shave twice a day, it takes forever to shave. I wonder if I can get a good deal on a Philishave razor on Ebay?

BCMike (3316) | 10 months ago | I appreciate your wonderful words towards the growth. But as I am unable to stand the constant itching, no sooner had I posted this than poof! there it was in the sink.
Now I have to take ANOTHER picture to reflect the current smooth exterior. I will of course.
I was also getting n ingrown whisker close to the lower lip. It is unhappy with me.

BCMike (3316) | 10 months ago | I'm sorry. I know how much you liked it. But aside from the itchy, I am also heat sensitive and cannot take the additional warth that the fuzzy face gets.
Thanks for your support anyway Dee.

BCMike (3316) | 10 months ago | Hmmm. Don't most women shave their legs with a homelite chainsaw? Maybe a cross cut saw....
I tried a Flickr once... "ONCE". My momma didn't raise a fool.

3. OreoCookie3 (18162) | 10 months ago | Hi Mike.. why not try the Noxzema triple blade super smooth razor? I have them... they have a easy grip that won't slip when your hands are wet. They have a pivoting head, and a moisturizing strip. I am one that has very tender skin. I shave my legs, but I know it would work great on a face too. They are disposable, but I can use this razor 6 times before tossing it. The razor also has a blade protector that clips on that is easy to take on and off with a pinch clip. I can't say enough good things about this razor.
What's great about the Noxzema razor is that it doesn't cut the skin. I normally get cuts all over when I shave, but with this razor I didn't get one nick on my skin. It also cuts the hairs on one pass of the blade. You get a very close shave without any razor burn because you don't have to keep going over the same spots over and over.
The price is really good too.. you get 4 razors for under $4 in some stores here.. you can get them online for under $5 for a pack of 4.

mtdewgurl74 (10309) | 10 months ago | Hmm, I haven't heard of these razors yet..I will have to check them out.. also a good razor for woman maybe some men is the Schick intuition with Shea butter that surrounds the blade. But sometimes when I shave my legs they look like chicken skin with certain razors..so I will have to check these out. Thanks

BCMike (3316) | 10 months ago | I would rather be tied down on a nest of fire ants and slathered in honey before I deliberately put another Schick anything back on my babt bum face ever again.

OreoCookie3 (18162) | 10 months ago | This razor isn't Shick Mike. It's Noxzema brand and I used it today for the 6th time and no nicks at all. I was going to toss it for another one, but heck.. it's still good and sharp and no nicks no pull. It's really good for people that have gripping problems in their hands. It's awesome. I hate razors because they always leave me nicked up to death, but I have never had one nick at all.

4. mtdewgurl74 (10309) | 10 months ago | Hi lets try this again not sure if first time went through or not...glad you told me about the Braun so now I won't buy one for hubby on his birthday..I have never heard of a Philishave before. Have you tried it or just heard about how good it is? I hope you will be able to find one on ebay, good luck..

mtdewgurl74 (10309) | 10 months ago | Cool. Well Your a man and you know what you like and your opinion is honest and good. A person can have 10 people tell them a razor is good to only find out that it isn't as good as they said. If you say a razor it good or bad I believe you. My hubby has sensitive skin and so does my brother. My brother also gets the occasional in grown hair.

BCMike (3316) | 10 months ago | Then the only cure for them is tweezers. There is near instant relief then.
My whiskers are stiff as a scrub brush. The Philishave is the only thing that will comforatably whack off a day's growth.
The Braun demands my attention twice per day.

6. flowerchilde (6809) | 10 months ago | Hubby grows a beard every winter.. likely cause he's outside a lot, what with being a truck driver. It's just now getting a bit wild so he trims it.. spring, summer and fall he has a mustache and a small trimmed chin 'beard'.. Looks good either way!
