|  Normally I give a ratsass about celebrities and their ridiculous problems, but this particular issue really pisses me off because of the message it sends to women and young girls.
So I'm standing in line at the checkout and a tabloid cover calling Jessica Simpson fat caught my eye. And why did it catch my eye? Because the rag had a picture of Simpson and and I could quite clearly see that she wasn't even close to being fat.
She wasn't even chunky. She actually looked really good.
But apparently the furor is being caused by the fact that Simpson weighs a whopping 130lbs.
OMG someone call a cop and smack that Ding Dong out of her hands. She's a freaking whale!
Seriously though, were you aware that 130 isn't considered overweight for someone who is 5'3"? That's a BMI of 23, which considered NORMAL.
But because she's no longer a skinny crackwhore and has real curves like a real woman, she's considered fat.
I feel just horrible for her, and I normally don't give a crap about celebrities, but this is one area that I have only empathy and sympathy. Because if Simpson is fat there's no hope for the rest of us normal people.

| |  I agree. This message that is being sent to young girls all over the world is ridiculous! The world is being told by multiple sources that being stick skinny is the only look that is beautiful. Jessica Simpson is a beautiful woman and the fact that she is being called fat for gaining a little weight is sickning. Just because she is in the public's eye she is being critisized.

| |  But when they have a movie coming out or are selling their reality show about their marriage then they dont want left alone. They go to places where the media will be and sell photos. They need to make up their mind in my opinion. I wish I made what they do for one days work....so I dont feel bad for them. How many people stand on their feet 12 hours a day 7 days a week and will never make the money these people make in a month?

| |  I saw one photo that looked bad becasue she was in an unflattering outfit, a pair of "mom jeans" with the waist up under her boobs and a double leopard print belt, that would look bad on ANYBODY! Then I saw another pic with her at the same new weigh tin a black suit. Her weight is not the problem, it's her outfits that were making her look bad! Her body is FINE, but whoever put her in the mom jeans outfit should be fired. Most people actually look BETTER with a little meat on their bones and they tend to be healthier than the anemic anorexic popsicle sticks that hollyweird tries to tell us we should look like.

| |  People are obsessed with celebrities but really they are no different than the average person. The only real difference is that they are forced to protect their image and whenever they don't live up to it the media trashes them. It is a cruel world and it must be worth it or they would all quit. I don't really feel sorry for her. She makes a lot more money than me and she knew how that world would handle her slightly larger frame.
