Have you ever read a book, then felt lost when you've finished it?  | |  I read a lot of books, most of which I enjoy because I'm picky about what I read, but there have been some books that I have read which I've felt really sad to finish. Every once in a while I have finished a book, and felt completely lost when it's over. The one I remember feeling that way about most was with the Lord of the Rings, which I read when I was 15 - that took me days to get over. I think maybe it's to do with being completely immersed in another world, then when it's finished it's hard to adjust to reality. What about you, have you ever felt like that?

| | 2.  Piscesmoon (2884) | 11 months ago |  Definitely. If I am really enjoying a book, I read it in a few sittings because I can't bear to put it down and want to see what happens next. Trouble is, then the book is finished and I am left wanting more. I felt like that with the final Harry Potter book (well, all of them really) and my favourite Dean Koonz novel, Lightning. I had a similar feeling on finishing Angels and Demons.
