Potty training anyone?

every child is different and progress at different rates, my first daughter was toilet trained by the time she was 16 months old but my second daughter was nearly 3 before she was dry through the night, i didnt use a potty with my second as my first wouldnt use it i instead got a toilet seat for toilet training with steps attached and started using pull up pants at 12 months, then everytime i went to the toilet i took them with me and put there seat on, they used to do something but took a few months with my first before she was dry all night aswell, my secoond obviously took longer, this way i also didnt have to change from potty to toilet at a later date

We'ere just taking it slowly with our little guy. He wears pullups during the day and a diaper at night. He sometimes takes them off when wet, and tries to use his potty. We figure eventually he'll get it. I wouldn't worry about unless you are in a hurry. She'll come along on her own. If you want the old fashioned way, simply put her in cotton panties all day long and let her wet herself. I'm not a fan of this because I think it's more humiliating if she's always wetting her clothing. I feel it's not a huge issue if it takes them longer then society wants. If you leave her potty out where she can get to it, praise her when she's gone, don't chastize her if she pulls her diaper off but praise her for knowing she was dirty, I think she'll have some success. My son was just over 3 when he was finally potty trained. He just did not care. He would rather go in a diaper than in the potty. My daughter just turned 2 last month and I have been working with her lately. She does ok some days and other days not so good. She is just stubborn. She knows when she needs to go. She did great yesterday morning and the rest of the day was down hill. Today she won't go near the potty, but she will tell me when she has already gone.

My only advice is be patient with her.

Hi, i've just posted a week ago about how I proud I am because my youngest already knows how to pee and poop in the toilet. She's also 2.5 years old, compared to her sister who was potty trained when she was already more than three. I think the main factor why my daughter learned quicker is because she's seeing examples, like her sister and me, we go to shower together and she sees us doing it in the bathroom. She also sees her sister using the toilet bowl seat for kids so she did not experience having fears on using it for the first time.

My daughter start to only wear diapers at night when she's about 1 1/2 years old, I've started her potty training after her walk is steady (about 13 months). And she gave up her diapers completely a month after her 2nd birthday. I'm very proud of her. She never like the little potty stuff that I've bought for her and she'll choose to sit on the toilet instead. At first I always hold her to keep her from fall but later she's getting bigger and she can sit at the toilet by herself. I use the same method for my son, but he's slower than his sister at everything. Don't worry, I think your girl is ready, you just have to trust her...

my mom said she put me in panties and I didn't like getting my feet wet when I wet - that's what got me potty trained.
