Izzy and George LEAVING Grey's Anatomy!! | | | | http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/29124309/ "There have been plenty of rumors swirling around cast departures on "Grey's Anatomy," but now a co-star is reporting that two actors are indeed leaving the show. James Pickens, Jr., who plays chief of surgery Dr. Richard Webber at fictional Seattle Grace Hospital, told Us Weekly that Katherine Heigl and T.R. Knight are on their way out. Us also quoted a set source as saying "(Knight) complains to Katherine all the time. The energy on set will be much better when he's gone." However, the magazine went on to quote a source saying that the show's writers want to create a "believable exit" for Knight's character, one that would make it possible for him to return to the show at a later date. Heigl plays blonde bombshell and troubled doctor Izzie Stevens, who accidentally killed her fiance, Denny Duquette, while trying to help him get a heart transplant. Her character has been playing controversial romantic scenes with the long-dead Duquette, and a recent episode indicated that the scenes may be the result of a mental problem caused by a health issue. Knight plays George O'Malley, a doctor who had to re-take his intern exam and has had no end of romantic trouble, including a quickie marriage and divorce to orthopedic surgeon Dr. Callie Torres. When asked by msnbc.com about the possible departures, an ABC publicist said, "studio and network are not confirming, so it very much remains a mystery." | | | | | | | | | | Drama Acting Classes Check Out Local.com To Find Drama Acting Classes In Your Area! | | I don't get to see the show that often anymore, but I think these main characters should stay, they were there since the show began. | | | | | | | | | | | | Drama Acting Classes Check Out Local.com To Find Drama Acting Classes In Your Area! Local.com | add comment | | | |

| | Well, it will be interesting to see how they are going to remove Katherine from the show considering that Bailey has just given up the clinic to her to make priority time for her own family. George is easy to remove from the show. All they gotta do is let him pass his exam and then transfer him to another hospital as a full fledge doctor rather than a resident. End of story for him. He can always come back to the show as a guest star from cross over stories involving the transfer of patients or something like that. Hmm... Interesting. If only I could follow the series more closely. | | | | | | | moonlitmagikchild (8089)

| | I have been hearing this for a while, it's kinda depressing for me, because I love these two characters. I really hope that it doesn't completely change the show. I mean, really, I think it will be great as long and Meredith and Derek are there, but it will be hard to say goodbye to 2 of the interns that have been there the whole time. I really like Meredith and Cristina, but always really liked Izzie and George's characters also... and while I think Alex is a jerk most the time, I'd actually even miss him. I just get so attached to the characters on my favorite shows, so if this is all true, I really hope they do something to fill that missing element. And for the love of McDreamy, just propose to Meredith ALREADY! | | | | | | | moonlitmagikchild (8089)

| | aww.. well, this season has been pretty good, at least I think so. It's been better than last season, and it's currently in the middle of a 3 part story Arc with Private Practice, and I watch that too, so it's really been a more alive season even compared to last year, which I liked, but definitely was hurt by the strike. I didn't hear that about the cast not liking the writing. It doesn't really seems soapy to me, then again, I don't watch soaps. I would say that it would be a bit hard to not look a little soap-like considering it is a drama. I keep hoping that a lot of this stuff is just rumors, that Izzie and George don't really leave, or at least not both of them. I mean, I've read stuff for a long time where people talk about Patrick Dempsey talking about leaving, and he's still there. I mean, there wouldn't be a show without him I don't think, he is a huge part of it. I still say that I won't believe anything until I see it, and I won't believe anyone is leaving until it happens or the Producers/Writers actually confirm it. The thing is, Burke was a huge part of the show, and I would have thought that there would have been something missing when he left, but after all this time it's like he wasn't there, it's really just like a part of the story, and it leaves Cristina in an interesting spot to find someone else, but I won't go into what's happening now, just in case you decide to watch it. But yea, I'm a bit nervous and depressed about things I'm hearing about Grey's Anatomy right now, I started watching it probably 2 years into it being on, so I think the main issue is, that most people who have been watching it since day one are just losing interest. Me on the other hand, I'm 99.9% certain that I would still be completely obsessed no matter how long I watch. I guess I have more patience, I know that a story can go through ups and downs, and I'm sticking around till they have the last episode, then I'll cry for a few hours, and go watch the whole series on my i-pod. LOL I guess you could say that I'm the type of loyal watcher than any writer/producer would want to have, although, to be honest--there aren't many shows I watch, not current ones anyway. I recently found that I like X-Files, I got seasons 1-4 for my dad for Christmas, and one night I went out and watched it and liked it. So he said I could take them in my room and watch if I wanted. Well, I just ordered 5-9 and got them yesterday! So yea, it's not uncommon for me to not even watch a show till it's off air, so with Grey's Anatomy I'm just hoping they will work out whatever issues they are having, because it is still one of the biggest shows on tv--besides reality shows, I mean. LOL Once it goes off I guess I will stay away from network tv, unless they get something new that is worth my time. haha Sorry for the rant, my head's just racing. hehe | | | | | | | ABC to Blow Up in 2012?
