Living on one income is hard

I know how you feel. My fiance was out of work for a while and i was having to make it for my son. He just got a job but he is getting paid less than i do. I barely get paid enough as it is. Then on top of that he has alot of stuff to pay on now that he does have a job so it like im still not getting help. I hope though things get better for you and me.

I know how you feel. My husband is disabled. He got his approved over a year ago. So now he is the bread winner some of the time. The rest of the time it is me. Yes it normally does take a while to get it started. I hope that happens for you soon

I am not the breadwinner, my husband is as i am the SAHM, but things have gotten tight with the economy and less people being able to put more money into there houses, since he is in construction, that is why I am online now trying to make money from home and earn what little bit more that I can to help out with.

My uncle is on disability and he struggled for 2 years before his kicked in, and he even sued his company because a machine fell on him and hurt his back which is what caused his disability in the first place and now he has to walk with a cane every where... I can understand the struggle, but when it comes in you will be better off you have to remember that. good luck with it!!!

First of all I'm sorry to hear about your situation, and I commend you for what you do because it must be a tough job being the woman and the breadwinner of the family. My husband is the breadwinner in our family. I am a full time stay at home mom. My children are all in school at the moment so I spend half of my day working on gpt sites and ptc sites because we make just enough to pay the bills and groceries and have very little left over for anything else. So what I make is what we use to do family activities or spend on extras that we might need for the kids or the house. I hope your husband's disability will go through soon as well and I will keep you and your family in my prayers:)

In earlier days even if a person gets a salaried job would be able to manage a family and survived. But at this current scenario we are all facing lot of distructions such as economic crisis, increase in commodities price and many more, so one person's salary cant be able to manage a family. Atleast more than one in a faily should go to job and should have extra income to survive decent enough.

I am sorry that your husband has had to wait for benefits. I do not understand why people who have their medical records and proof of their conditions are being subject to all this. We hear it over and over again.What is the point of them having a qualifying list, if the people who have proof of the conditions cannot get on it. I hope it gets it soon.

yes that is very said but things always get worst before they get better so try to stay positive never give up hope after a bad storm comes sunshine i am not the bread winner in my family but i do contribute to my family my husband works two jobs i work one we work on opposite days so we don't have to put our six month old baby in day care my husband pays the major bills i just pay for groceries, our cell phone bills, all the baby stuff like diapers etc, and small bills like that my money is usually are spending money and his money takes care of the rent utilities and car payment plus insurance

No I am not the breadwinner of the family im the homemaker. I make our house a home. My husband works very hard and i really appreciate it, sometimes i dont think i let him know how i feel enough, I will try to make of point of that tonight. He leaves at 5 am and gets home at 6 or 630 pm. He has two jobs we would not be able to make it on one income either not many people can these days. I lost my job about six months ago.

yes, i am the breadwinner of the family. i am a single parent. my used to be husband has always been an irresponsible guy. now, he is living in with another woman (his attitude is getting worse as years pass by).

i understand your position, moneymommy. for my part, it was good that my son has been such a good help eversince he reached college years. he is always with me at the farm during his free days. there are times when he will come to me at the farm when he is off school earlier hours.

now, it is no longer as difficult. my daughter, the eldest, and my second child are already earning and can support themselves. i fend only for the youngest. the older two are helping with the finances already. and since we are far away from the farm, i have demanded for support from their father.

there is another looming problem. their father has insinuated that he will be cutting his financial support. he wants us to get back to the farm. this is not good. my youngest has not yet substantially recuperated from his illness. it seems like it will not be long when i need the services of a lawyer.

for you, moneymommy, just keep on. there will always be and end to our sacrifices. repayment may soon come for you, too.

im sorry to hear about your husband. Dont you think its horrible how you cant even receive help? Like its not bad enough that your husband is disabled, a stressful event in itself, than it seems like noone even cares. good luck.
