2. dmrone (648) | 10 months ago | I don't think personally i could step on others to get ahead. I am just not that type of person. I know several people who have done something like this and in the end it has always came back to bite them.

3. spalladino (8993) | 10 months ago | My philosophy has always been this: I have to look at myself in the mirror every morning and I want to like the person I see looking back at me. That wouldn't be the case if I walked on or took advantage of someone else to get ahead. I was in the workforce for many years. Saw people stepping on their coworkers, stealing ideas and making others look bad in order to make themselves look good. Someone I considered a friend suggested an idea at a meeting once that I had shared with her the day before and took credit for it as her own. I don't believe she liked the taste that left in her mouth.

4. jamborieman (233) | 10 months ago | Well...I wouldn't do that.. I think it's better to live a simple life with a lot friends rather than a great life with a lot of enemies... and guilt.
Life isn't about money mate... I know I'm not being realistic but... if you realize it.. you'll have a great life.

6. Anora_Eldorath (2597) | 10 months ago | I don't think that it benefits anyone to step on people to get ahead in life. There is an old saying "Those you step on during your climb up the ladder are the same people you see on the way down". It is best to build positive relationships as you move up the ladder in the job world. This helps you network, and in the long run will make you far more successful.
In terms of a mate, well I'm not sure you would step on anyone to get a "better" boyfriend. You might try to steal someone else's boyfriend, etc but that isn't quite in the same line as the first question. I think you really had two questions here so I'll answer as such. I think you should get a mate/boyfriend/husband based upon your own merit. I mean, why would you want to ruin good friendships over a man? It's not really worth it, especially at the boyfriend level when you may end up ending that relationship. And most men don't want to feel that they are just being used to get you to the next man with deep pockets. That will only cause resentment in the relationship and word does spread quickly among both men and women of those trying to get a partner by these means.
