Bottom feeder?

I personally can't stand Jerry Springer. I think you can only watch SO much of that "mama drama" crap without getting sick of it. The same thing with the Maury show. Ugh.

Over winter break, when I didn't have school in the daytime, I started watching the Tyra Show and the Steve Wilkos pretty ritualistically. I love Tyra - because she ALWAYS has an interesting topic on her show, and she seems genuine about things. I like the Steve Wilkos show (have you ever seen it?) because it's basically a show where he yells at guests for being drug addicts, bad parents, abusive, and so on. It's really good, you should check it out if you have time!:]

I'm not really "proud" of watching either of those shows (although I feel like they're better shows than Jerry Springer) but I feel bad for watching two hours of TV per day - I feel like I could be doing something a little more useful with my time (studying, spending it with friends/family, making money, and so on..):/

I never really enjoyed Jerry Springer. There was always just too much yelling on it for my taste. my brother really liked the show when it first started and was filmed here in Chicago. he even went to see it live a couple times. My dad on the other hand like Maury. Once again I just didn't get into it. Now it seems that every episode is like, "I cheated on you with your best friend/brother and the baby might be his/yours..."

I do watch soaps though which is almost the same thing. I justify it a little more because soaps are supposed to be far out and bizarre. Jerry and Maury are supposed to be real people, and I just can't wrap my brain around that.

Sometimes that TMZ show is on and I'll catch a few minutes of it ....and then I think "They are catering to our lowest instincts and here I am watching it." Then I quickly change the channel!

I have kids so I avoid Jerry Springer like the plague! Junk like that is very tempting because of our nature as humans. I try to fight that urge and look for something better.

Well nope I've never watched Jerry Springer..actually don't watch much TV at all, but I've had my share of "bottom feeder" type shows I've watched for some weird reason...Remember the show Fear Factor? Yup used to watch that...amazing how many times people were forced to eat those hissing Madagascar roaches...ewwww. My latest one that I sometimes watch like an idiot...heehee..some dumb show call Reno 911...about a bumbling police station in Reno Nevada...it's spoof and stupid as heck but yup...somehow manage to watch it

It's like a train wreck. You know it's going to end badly, you know it's going to be painful to watch and yet you sit, glued to it, unable to look away.

Hello Joyce, I am not familiar of Jerry Springer Show. I don't know if its available here in our area. Well, I really don't watch something that I do not like. If I do not like the show or any movie for that matter, I just switch channel or stop the player.

I used to watch it as well...I always seem to feel a little better when I watch it knowing that at least my life isn't that bad. What's scary is that I have actually met ppl that lead a traditional Jerry Springer life.

I used to watch Jerry but not anymore. I do watch Celeb Rehab and sometimes Maury. I also watch Real World sometimes. Rock of Love has got to be the most embarrassing one that I watch.
