Willl China start World War 3? | | I have gone through many online blogs even wikipedia stating that China would be that super power country to start a WW3.The Muslim people say that the end will come when the small eyed people will rule and conquer the earth.I dont get it why dont you guys say Japanese or north korea since they are the one who started World war 2 and north korea who thinks the whole world is her enemy. And before you go on lemme tell you Chinese people dont have time wasting on wars like America, and it was the 7 super power countries that attacked China during world war 2. I say that we all Chinese should stand up against such false predictions.

| | | | | | | | 1. GADHISUNU (1123) | 10 months ago | Forget about predictions by religious books, I do not see any reason for China starting a world war, if they keep away from regional politics. I am also convinced that China today or for that matter any country which is on the path to development would think of any "conquest" only in terms of victory in the market place, where the "fight" is on an equitable basis and is and in the way of civilized nations. We must realize that the religious books were written in the days when Wars were the only means available for settling disputes. This is true for any country whose fortunes are on an upswing and there considerable amount of disposable funds with the Government.
Further, war would be an option to indulge in or to fan if the major means of generating funds for an economy are by sales of weapons to nations.

LisaHW (1511) | 10 months ago | (This response ran on longer than I had planned, but that's the writer in me coming out.)
I hate to say it, but I wouldn't go so far as to call my outlook, "positive". We all - no matter what country - face some serious potential threats. It's just that I don't tend to think they'll come in the form of, or turn into, a third world war.
On a more positive note, I am confident that even though the full is still full of aggressive and/or ignorant people, people today are generally far more educated and informed than they were even 60 years ago.
Thank you for your kind words about blogs. I write "tons" of blogs, but they aren't about politics or world affairs (most of the time). That's because I don't have a full enough grasp of all the workings of those things; and I do think if we don't have a solid grasp of the whole picture, we should keep our thoughts to ourselves. (Too many of those blogs you mentioned before are written by people who don't see the whole picture but who have guesses and opinions to throw in anyway.)
I keep my writing on the level of the individual, because that's what I know most about - how to raise children who are kind, what's wrong with the education system, dealing with the difficult things in life, women's issues, or even just enjoying some of the more frivolous/silly things in day-to-day life. Then, after writing whatever I've written, I've added "happy" or beautiful music to my blogs, in an attempt to creative a nice mood for anyone who visits.
In order for the world to have to better understanding, people need to understand themselves and others in the world. They need to understand how we all share so many worries, emotions, and dreams. It's not that I think my "nothing" blogs will prevent World World III or anything like that; but I try to share what I know about being a person (and parent and, in my case, an American), because it's my way of trying contribute ideas to the "idea pool".
I figure, even if what I've written doesn't ever prove useful to even one reader, what it will do is paint a picture of just one, individual, American - and that, alone, may contribute to helping "the world" see the real thoughts/beliefs of this one American. It isn't much of a contribution to "world peace", but it's what I can do, as an individual.
The Internet has given "regular, ordinary" people a way to share their ideas and concerns. Whether we're American, Chinese, Japanese, Russian, German, or whatever else; the Internet has allowed us to get to know people of our parts of the world first-hand. It has made us all less safe, and it has, in many ways, brought things to the world that may better have been left in dark corners of it. Still, there is no putting the genie back in the bottle - the Internet has allowed people around the world see for themselves what we all share about being people. We're no longer at the mercy of other people, who may tell us lies about the people in other countries. This, alone, is what helps make the world a very different place than it was 60 or so years ago.
Just as Chinese people live in a world that is often suspicious of their country; as an American, I live in a world that so often seems to believe Americans are just terrible "monsters" for one reason or another. I think people (like me) who don't know what is going on in the offices of world leaders, or in their minds, are usually best not spreading ideas based on insufficient information and inability to predict the future (and that's most "regular, ordinary" people).
Peace (and wars) begin in the hearts and homes of the individual. My writing would seem insignificant to so many people looking for "Earth shattering" world knowledge; but when I write, I'm usually writing with the hopes of bringing a shred of peace to the heart or soul of anyone who reads what I write. I don't have grandiose beliefs that what I write will contribute to world peace, but I do think we should not underestimate the power of sharing a peaceful heart.
More people want peace than want war. Just as the Internet facilitates links between the minority who have violence at heart, it facilitates (sometimes in surprising ways) the majority of us who don't.

solemnsoul17 (871) | 10 months ago | When i saw your reply i was jaw dropped .haha.Your reply and comment said it all and has definitely open minds of many people who is reading this post .I am just a kid who raised this question just to know how many people out there in this world think the communist country will one day rule through war. Yes there will always be something wrong in this earth, may it be today or tomorrow but one cannot predict, surely there might be other complications coming to this planet earth like we may start fighting on water, and we must not forget the earth is being overpopulated and global warming is hitting hard and there will be one day when war will be necessary. Surely you might be thinking i am taking back my words but my question is why do you think China will start WW3,since i am quite patriot to my race and hate predictions but at the same time i cant overlook what is happening now and what it might bring. As like you said if we have no control to have knowledge of everything of a certain subject like this,we should surely not blog on it. If we look back into history if people were not killed in wars would be overpopulated by this time i mean like very overpopulated, but i wouldnt also suggest that there will be war cause i really dont want war,but all this depends on One man the ruler of a certain country .You never know there maybe another Hitler sitting out there in some president's seat.

LisaHW (1511) | 10 months ago | Nobody is ever "just a kid". Young people have the same worries (and new ones) that their older siblings, parents, and grandparents have. The difference is it is the younger people who will end up dealing with the world's problems for a lot longer than older ones will.
I have no doubt that there will be be wars for quite some time into the future (although I do think one day people will find a way to stop that particular form of conflict). I just don't think, with what we people know today and with the fact that most people don't want another World War, that isolated conflicts would be allowed to turn into a world war.

I think China is more concerned about their economical development and increase of life quality right now, something that all countries should be busy with. Of course that economical development brings more money for military improvement, but I really don't think China has such plans.

I mean, we are in the same planet. We breathe the same air, we see the same sky, we are standing on the face of this same blue planet and why are we thinking of bombarding the next country with all the nuclear bomb we can muster?
This is just non-sense. Just thinking of war make me sick.

solemnsoul17 (871) | 10 months ago | Well you should also ask the late Hitler who killed Jews, and also ask the guy who threw a nuclear bomb in Hiroshima, you can also ask why J f kenedy started war in Veitnam, and why Palestinians and Jews are fighting for just a piece of land .Umm an dthis is not non sense,America is currently killing so many Iraqis daily..

LisaHW (1511) | 10 months ago | You're very right about the world's apparent propensity for war; but in fairness to the US...
When Europe was being taken over by Hitler and his "pals" it took the US a long time to decide to finally get involved and do something to help.
When Viet Nam was being taken over, some people believed it is was important to go there and train their people to defend themselves against that. (An awful lot of people in the US were opposed to that whole situation, but - right or wrong - the US involvement was about trying to help people not have their countries taken over by others.
Many, many, people struggled (and struggle to this day) with the bombing in Japan; and I'm not particularly defending it. At the time, though, it was in response to Japan's attack of the US. (Pearl Harbor) People in favor of it saw it as the only way to end the fighting. Again, people struggle with it and think it's awful; and I'm not defending it. Still, even if it was horrible and something that was done as a result of the "war-mindedness" of the time, the US didn't just go bomb Japan for no reason at all.
With Iraq, when Hussein had done all the things he had done to his people for so long; and when people started to hear about things like him and his "pals" running people through meat grinders, there were people asking, "Why doesn't the US do something to help stop him?"
When the US was attacked on 911 (after years of just kind of doing too little to stop terrorists from forming too strong a coalition amoung them), the US (and other nations) decided to try to ferret out terrorists, where they were being in trained or otherwise supported, not only so such attacks won't happen in the US, but anywhere.
The US is not perfect, any more than any other nation is; but it doesn't go around the world trying to take over countries just to "own" them. It defends itself, and it often tries to help others defend themselves against aggression. Yes, that involves fighting; and yes, it involves being the enemy to someone who doesn't like the US butting in. Still, there is often a lot of pressure and talk when the US, with its ability to do some things, can't or won't step in to help people who can't help themselves. Some people think the US should "mind its business". Others believe it is criminal for any human beings to ignore others who are, for example, victims of someone like Hitler. Whatever the US does, it will not be viewed as the right thing by at least some people.

solemnsoul17 (871) | 10 months ago | ofcourse everybody has its own opinion,it might seem like a very generous thing of America to go and kill off the corrupt people in Iraq but lemme say the intentions were not clear.America uses an excuse to go to countries, and what they do is leave behind trails of destruction and furthermore i think America wanted was Oil,yes oil ..I only know about two America's president so far and I think Bill Clinton was far much better he kept the world much more peaceful at his time. Well i am getting outta point, but just to say that we should not assume things just by what they show, who knows 9/11 was not planend by america themselves it wouldnt harm to blow up two towers and have an excuse to enter Afghanistan and Iraq.

| | 6. aryajayaprakash (933) | 10 months ago | China is busy with her economic development. The wealth and prosperiety is not equally distributed even after years of communist regime. They are doing a good job to the extent they can. Managing such a big country like China is not a simple thing. A war, that also world war will breakdown China into many even if it is started by China. I don't think Chinese people are not intelligent like those who told the small eyed people will start a third worldwar.
China as a big country will have a lot of internal troubles that will easily spread inside and destroy the integrity of the country itself. Communist rulers in China are therefore very careful even not to engage in any kind of friction with her neighbors like India, Japan, Russia etc.
Even though the eyes are small, what you see and think are big. I remember a joke in Japan about the small eyed and big eyed people. Small eyed people are straight forward and do not involve much in leg pulling and dirty linen washing in which many of the big eyed colleagues are much interested and involved. The reason is small eyed people see very few things around them and hence they are busy with their own work. Big eyed people see a lot around them, like what other people are doing and not doing etc. Hence worry about others and start politics and leg pulling in work place.
Good luck and love to all my small eyed people!
