| One reason for not keeping your gun in your pocket.......  | | | |  A man who was having lunch in a Colorado hospital cafeteria was accidentally shot in the thigh as he went to get some change out of his pocket to pay for his meal and had inadvertently fired his gun in his trouser pocket.
He was at the hospital visiting a family member.
The hospital security guards immediately responded to hearing the gun shot and seized the man's gun who was treated at the hospital and then later released.
He now faces possible misdemeanour charges of unlawfully carrying a concealed weapon, prohibited use of a weapon and reckless endangerment.
How scary is it to think that people are walking around the hospital with a gun in their pocket, yeah ok he may not have meant to use it but it was loaded and in his pocket. That's why cops and such use gun holsters. Im sure he has learnt his lesson!!

Yeah, that is really scary. I remembered what I watched on the news a couple of months ago about two men who went after a hospital patient who was a victim of homicide and is in critical condition. They went to the ward and shot the man again. he was killed and his companion was critical. The security guard was in duty alone and he is multi-tasking, helping carry the patients to the ER and other tasks and he didn't know that the men were carrying guns. It was in a public or government hospital. It is really scary.
I really hope that they will tighten the security on public places such as hospitals.
