wow that is sad. I wish I had the most positive words in the world to lift you up. I can only imagine how much this hurts you and everybody else around her. Just try and keep up the faith that whatever happens, it will be all for the best. and who knows, miracles do happen, right? and it wouldnt hurt to pray for that. I'll include you in my prayers. take care.

I understand what you're saying about it slamming into your heart and brain, i've often had that feeling when something terrible is going, or has happened to my close friends also.

stay strong for her, and know that alough it's never nice to have cancer she has lived a long and full life, something that not everybody has the chance and good fortune to do.

Wow..That is sad. Don't worry Katlday2 you have my support on this..I'll pray for her though I cannot guarantee that I will always because I'm kind of a busy man but I'll try. Why not spend a lot of time with her this week or this coming weekend? that will be really nice! Go and have fun with her as if she doesn't have lung cancer! Life is too short to be gloomy about those kind of things and you should make her realize that. Make her forget she doesn't have lung cancer!

That's so sad. I'm really sorry about your friend. It's certainly not easy to get this type of news. It's not easy to hear that your friend, or someone you know, only has a few months to leave. My heart goes out to your friend, her family, and all of her friends.

Hi...well, what do I say? I wanted to give you and Bonnie some words of inspiration but how do you inspire someone who only has 60 days?

Is that it? NO. I'd like to tell you something here that is has nothing to do with prayer or G-d or...well, anything religious. I'm Jewish but I'm not really into religion. I choose instead to explore the spirituality within myself - thus far unsuccessful. BUT - and this is a big BUT - I have heart. What I see here and pray (if you'd care to call it that) is for Bonnie to tense up...clench her fists, open her eyes and say, "EFFF YOU! There is NOTHING that will keep me from beating the crap out of you (you being cancer)." I know it sounds stupid...BUT - my uncle Skip had lung cancer - really. And we spoke to him and kept (sometimes brutally) talking at him - yes AT him because he wouldn't respond - saying that you are strong...you've been strong for our family for 40 some years - maybe it's time you were strong for yourself...

Well, he beat it. He is now living clean and smoke free...he just celebrated his 86th birthday and they said he wouldn't live to 72! I don't know if this is helpful - you know me...I'm a comedian. But I share everything in my life here when it comes up - I have nothing to hide.

Is my uncle's story unusual? Maybe. I don't know - but it's a success story that I'm sure is not exclusive to our family - if he can do it, so may someone else.

I wish Bonnie all the best and hope she can find the strength to beat the crap out of what ails her...

Gee if I was u I would definatly spend as much time as I could with her and maybe there is something she always wanted to do in life before she passes that you could he;p her with.

You are such a caring and loving person. Not everyone thinks of others the way my people here on myLot do. The only regret I have is I don't know my friends here for real. Yes absolutely I will remember you and your friend in prayer during this difficult time. That darn cancer it's a nasty thing.
