Is there a line from a movie that has touched your life or made you ponder?

I have many favorite lines from movies but the one thing that had enlighten me just when i needed it the most was from the movie "Evan Almighty". When the couple was having a difficult time, God spoke to the wife:
Let me ask you something.
If someone prays for patience
you think God gives them patience?
Or does God gives them the opportunity to be patient?
If he prayed for courage?
Does God give him courage?
Or does He give him opportunities to be courageous?
If someone prayed for the family to be closer.
Do you think God zaps them with warm fuzzy feelings,
or does He give them opportunities to love each other?

"Have you ever danced with the devil in the pale moon light" Joker to Batman the first one. I don't know why but every once in a while my life hands me a situtation where making that states seem entirely warrented.
Funny how moves effect our lives.
I was actually bowling last Thursday and my team has been on a roll, we have moved from last place to 9th place and we are still moving. After we finish on Thursday I looked at every one and said "We will not go gentely into this good night!", they all look at me like I was weird, but I the sentiment was good.

yes movies have an impact in our lives. especially if you happen to chance upon a movie wherein you feel like you are watching your life being played out on the big screen.

The quote you added was deep..mine is more toward the topic of money..in the movie "Boiler Room" the guy said, "whoever said that money is the root of all evil doesn't have any." I really sat and thought on that for a long time and adopted it as one as my personal quotes...

i've been thinking about the line that you posted and only just now that i got to understand it. oh yeah, the only one who would think that money is evil is bitter because he doesn't have any :)
