Do you like the person who switch off the phone while sleeping

I know asome people that seem to turn off there cell phones. My boyfriend turnes his cell phone off at night sometimes or unless i tell him to keep it on because i might need him to answer if somethig is going wrong. Alot of people dont like having there phone go off in the middle of the night. It is annoying and while about 4 years ago my phone would ring late at night with friends calling and it would be around 3 or 4 in the morning and i would ignore it and i belive that to be ignorant. I only believe that people should use there phone in the WE hours to make emergencies to someone.

I don't normally turn my phone off at night. I generally know that no one is going to call me that late, but if they happen to call me and need me late at night it is one. I don't like feeling like there is a possibility that I could miss something important.

Nope, I don't really like to do such a thing. Suppose something urgent comes up and you need to call that specific person badly. If he or she's phone is off then you can't do anything but go to the persons house. That's why...I don't turn it off. You never know when you might be needed to help someone that might be close to you.

not my cup of tea either.. yah some people are like that, maybe because they dont want to be disturbed with their sleep. and i understand that, however there is an advantage on that, what if the call or message is emergency then they switch off their cellphones? thats the negative thing in switching phones while sleeping,

I think it's a personal choice to turn off the phone while sleeping or leave it on. I leave the phone on all the time. I have kids, grandkids and friends who might want or need to call. I also work away from home part time and work might need to call. I couldn't sleep at night if the phone was off.

I'm open 24/7...lol.i got a cell so you can get a hold of me anytime,that mean even at night or when i'm sleeping(naping)in the day time.I really don't like anwsering machine and voice mail so i try to have my phone on all the time.

I'm not like that.. i always make sure that my mobile phone is turned on 24/7.. you know, i live an hour away from my parents house and if something comes up, for example, emergency then they can contact me anytime... there's no reason for me to turn my phone off..=)

YUP! That's for sure! I am that person because when I go to sleep at night or during the day whenever I feel tired and want some sleep, I don't like to be bothered at all. I love to sleep especially when I need to catch up on it. I don't actually turn my phone off when I go to sleep at night, I just put the volume on silent. Anyway, if it's something immportant they leave a message. I wake up in the middle of the night to check my phone and to see if anyone has called me.

My cellphone is on 24 hours unless it needs to be charged.>_< Sometimes, it's a little annoying if you're in the middle of your sleep then someone calls you. What if that's the only time you had you're rest? But it doesn't happen to me often. I love receiving text messages especially from my boyfriend.^_^

One of the reasons I didn't get a cell phone for so long was that I didn't think I needed to be available 24/7. If I'm not home people can leave a message, call me back later or realize it wasn't that important after all. I do have a cell phone now but it is for my convience and my family. I don't need to call anyone when I'm asleep and my husband and kids are asleep in the house with me, so they don't need to call me. If other family needs to call when I'm asleep, they can use the landline.
My point is that everyone has the right to do what they want to do with their own cell phone and no one else should be offended by that decision. People do need to sleep you know.
