Help?!? He thinks it's funny...

My sister got her son a potty watch. it goes off every thirty minutes and when it goes off you go and use the potty, whether you need to or not. My sister is a kind woman with a lot of pacients.

I am not. By three years old if your child is not potty trained then mom and dad need to remember who the adult is and set their foots down. I know that all of the parenting books will tell you to let them decide when they are ready but quite frankly I think they are full of it.

Some people feel that it is wrong to spank their children, that is fine, if you do not want to do that then you can still punish him for acting like a baby instead of the big boy he really is.

Please forgive me if this sounds harsh to you, it is just a pet peeve of mine. I really do wish you the best of luck and that potty watch really worked.

When my grandson was about your little boys age he pooped his diaper,he was a little ways in being potty trained,his mom worked and she was having a hard time getting him potty trained,this certain day my grandson popped in his pamper,afterward he came to where I was standing and looked up at me with a sad little shy look,I brought his little head over close to my hip and said honey it is okay every one has accidents,he looked up at me again and said Nanny you not mad at me,I said oh honey Nanny could never be mad at you,I love you and your going to one day run to your potty chair and poop,He said in his soft little voice I will Nanny,I said you will honey.

That was the last day my grandson popped in his diaper and with in weeks he was completly patty trained,each child is very special and there own person,your little guy will be potty trained in his own time,give him a lot of encouragement with special kisses and hugs.

Maybe your little guy is doing this because this is where he feels he has some control as he knows he poops or wet his pants.
You mention he goes to day care,he may be doing this for attention as well,it may be best to just roll with it Amanda in his time he will be potty trained.
Just never get to busy not to remember to encourage him and give him a lot of kisses and hugs this will reassure him he is loved even when he poops or wets his pants,best of life to you.
