Ronald Reagan Said Lesser Government,Obama Say's Bigger ,So Who Is Right?  

I agree with Reagan. I believe it is the government's job to get out of our way.

Reagan was right. That's exactly what the founding fathers intended. For the federal government to not be intrusive in the lives of the people and for the people and the states to have the power. But, Obama, the Democrats in Congress, and so many politicians before them...Dems and Repubs included...have spewed forth the idea that only the federal government can solve our problems. They have shouted their big-government rhetoric for so long and in so many different ways that many people have come to believe it. And it's nothing more than Socialism wrapped in a great big bow of lies.

Obama is actually more like Roosevelt during the depression. We do not need that kind of Gov now. We need less Gov. not more. We need stronger State Gov. not Federal Gov.

Bureaucracy begats more bureaucracy. Obama has opened Pandora's box and let out uncontrolled bureaucracy. If we do not control it quickly, we will be in big trouble as a nation. We will be rip for picking by any wealthy nation in the world to just step in and buy up land and business at their leisure. It is actually already happening.

Kenny, lets look at facts:

Under Reagan economics (also called Trickle down economics, or more realisticly "Voodo economics") history has shown that the economy does grow, but the growth in income goes mostly to the upper class, while the rest of the countries income is flat. While the economic theory boast of less government, both times this has been tried it has led to larger government, and the government bailing out private companies. One of the other common traits of his economic theory is record deficits, because it is impossible to make everyone in Washington happy with out spending trillions.

Under the large government economic idea used during Clinton's presidency, the economy grew at record pace, incomes grew across the board, and congress introduced a system called Pay-Go that balanced the budget, and set a roadmap for future presidents to follow (Bush ended this idea almost the second he walked into office).

So using facts, you can see which one has work during the last 30 years.

I would say Obama is closer to John F. Kennedy. After all, it was John F. Kennedy who said...."Ask not what your country can do for your but what you can do for your country." And now Obama wants us to do a lot for our country including people who overspend to the point of not being able to afford their mortgage...and those who take on big Mortgages so they can have a fancier house. They know just what they are doing when they do it. They know that they cannot afford it. So now, I am suppose to help them. I don't have a house, but if I did, the mortgage would be MY responsibility.
