What you feel when your cat finally return home after long lost?

Definitely! One of my cats went missing for about two weeks (which is a long time, when you have an indoor-outdoor cat who usually only goes outside for an hour a day), and one day, she just SHOWED up at my doorstep! And what's more is that she looked groomed and well-fed. I think what happened was that while she was out one day, another person in my neighborhood thought she was a stray, and let her in their house - and kept her for a few days. That's the best explanation I have, anyway. But I agree, I was so terrified and sad, and I was so shocked & happy when she randomly showed up at my doorstep again.=)

I had a female that got out one day & was chased by a dog. She was gone for a month. I looked for her every day of that month. Finally she just showed back up. I was soooo happy to see her!!!

I also had a neighbor who had a male that disappeared for 6 months. He just showed back up one day happy & healthy. He stayed home seemingly content for about a week & then disappeared again. Once again he showed up in about 6 months. He repeated the cycle one more time before disappearing for good. She never knew where he had been, but decided he must be happy there. She never stopped looking for him up until the day she died. I haven't seen him come back since she died.

I had a dog that did the same thing except he was only gone for 3 months at a time. He'd stay overnight & then disappear again. He was gettin fatter each time. He had a pretty new collar & he looked well cared for so I quit worrying about him. He started being an escape artist when he was only 6 weeks old & I figured his new friends had figured out a way to keep him in. He was gone about a year & a half the last time so I adopted another dog assuming he wasn't coming back. I give ALL my pets a good & loving home. If they don't appreciate it, they need to leave!!!

Yep! Our cat ran away for about over a month. She was friends with our old dog, since they grew up together, and when he died, she ran away. We thought she was gone for good, but finally she suddenly came back. When she came back, we had gotten a new dog, and she acted really chocked when she saw him, and ran away again for about 2 weeks. Then she came back again and hasn't run away since. She still doesn't like the new dog a whole lot though, though it's been a couple of years.
