Softwares for story writing

I tried Dramatica but I couldn't make it do what I wanted it to do. Possibly because I didn't pay for it, just used the free trial version.... Why don't they give you all the bells and whistles on the trial version but shorten they trial period? I think it's ridiculous to have to get a free trial but then have to pay for it anyway to see if it "really does what it says on the tin." So I pay my $80 or whatever registration and find out, even with all the full-version toys, it doesn't do what I need it to.

Sorry, tangent. Anyway, I tried Dramatica but didn't like it without all the fun stuff but didn't want to pay for it to get all the fun stuff so I got rid of it. You can't even save on the trial version!!! What's the point?

This may be slightly off topic, but this kind of reminded me of one of Roald Dahl's short stories, where a machine was invented that could churn out stories and all you had to do was step on the pedal. I kind of forgot the name of the story. Anyone remember what it was?

Wordpad is a good, free document creator. Word is nice too. If you're going for script-format, check out Final Draft Pro

Well, I think, it might be attatched with some pictorial dats required to write a
story in better charming manner. Like there is special package for writing
'Invitation-cards'. Similarly, this also might be equpped with many other features
