I Decided On A Photo For The Exhibit! |
|
So awhile back I made a post on here saying that my photo club was having a photo exhibit at a local library and that each of the members got to pick 1 photo to display at the exhibit. I was having a difficult time picking out a photo to submit and everyone who commented on my discussion gave me some very helpful feedback!
So now I'm happy to report that I've chosen what photo to submit! I've attached the photo to this discussion for you all to see!
I've chosen this photo specifically for this particular display because it is a display only and not a competition or a critique! While I think it is a pretty cool photo, it's not very different. There are thousands of photos of the moon that look exactly like this one. When I enter photos in competitions I like to pick out something different. Something that not everyone has seen before. But I do really like this shot a lot and think it has some great detail, and I really do want people to see it. So in my opinion it's the perfect shot for a display and not a competition!
Do you agree? Do you think I made a good choice? Do you like my photo? Let me know what you think! Feedback is greatly appreciated!
The exhibit starts on Saturday and will up until April! I can't wait!

Have a great day

The real good photos are story telling photos where the photographer doesn't have to explain the photograph, you see, it has not to be taken for the first time. Read some good photography books or subscribe to a magazine. Happy photography.

trickiwoo (1929) | 9 months ago | Thank you! I did use a telescope actually! It has the equivalent of a 1000mm lens with an f/11 aperture.
I bracketed the exposure, and this shot ended up being 1/200th of a second.
To attach the telescope to my lens I used a t-mount adapter. And I used a remote control shutter to avoid any shake from the telescope!

trickiwoo (1929) | 9 months ago | The telescope was only a couple hundred dollars. In fact, getting a telescope is much cheaper than getting a camera lens with an equal focal length!
