Tomorrow back to war |
|
Tomorrow my son will be going back to Iraq to join his company after three weeks of leave here at home. He is sleeping now and I don't want to wake him as I have no idea the next time he will be able to sleep in, secure in the knowledge that he is safe until he returns from his tour of duty. Yes, he is a soldier and I am very proud of him!
I know I have friends here who also have sons/daughters in Iraq and for those of you who got to see your child during their mid tour leave, was it hard for you to think about them going back? I mean, they have already survived half a tour, in my son's case, nine months, and now they are going back.
Have you experienced this?
Was it hard to hold your chin up?

Strongheart (1079) | 9 months ago | Thank you for your support. May your son never have to defend our country and way of life but know that if he does, we who served before him will be behind him all the way!

Here's hoping and praying your son will go through his tour nothing but in the utmost safety! And also hope the time flies til he is home again for good.

3. Number1Femme (356) | 9 months ago | God bless your son. I would be horrified if I had to fight in the war. I don't think I would ever be able to and I would probably not survive for a very long period of time.
