Do you celebrate St. Patrick's Day?  

I'm very Irish so I celebrate St. Patrick's Day every year by wearing green and cooking corned beef and cabbage. I will also pick up a green cake from Walmart because I love their cakes. I dyed the beer green once but folks didn't like that too much.

I might wear green on St. Patty's Day, but honestly, that's the furthest I go with it. No one has ever really taught me the significance of the holiday, so I haven't really found any reason to "celebrate" it - and even if I did, I wouldn't even know where to begin. .

Something I most definitely WON'T be doing on St. Patty's Day, though, is DRINKING. This is how a lot of people "celebrate" the holiday around here - they use it as an excuse to have bar crawls and do the like. I'm 18, and underage anyway, but even if I was 21 (legal drinking age here), I probably wouldn't go out and drink just because it's a holiday.

We have no Irish in us but when I am home we always have corned beef and cabbage on St Patricks Day. I would love to spend it in Chicago one year and see the celebrations there, espcially when they dye the river green.

I have no choice but to celebrate it. I am not irish and green is the only color I don't care for at all. My brother in law who is living with us has a birthday on March 17 and his name is even Patrick and Yes he's a true irishman. We will be going out for supper to our favorite chinese place and of course I will bake him a cake.
