Would you buy used furniture?

Absolutely! I have bought used furniture from garage sales and thrift stores. Sometimes all it needs is a good cleaning and it's perfect for your home. Sometimes it's better to get things that are a bit older as they might be made a bit better.

Actually I would, but only if I liked it, because it's cheaper and affordable unlike something brand new of the same kind for 200$!!
I think I would probably go to the second-hand shop! LOL, Where else?
But, if you mean junkyard, then I wouldn't consider!

ok, this question depend on your family to say .if your family is rich. i think it's no need to buy that, go to the department stores and buy new one,if not,and the furniture is very beatiful and practial. ok .buy it .it's good .and if you like it very much . alough you are rich .buy it right now!

You received an excellent buy there. of course I have bought used furniture. I especially love mahogony antigue furniture and once rescued a mahogony china closet from a chicken coop covered with you know what for the princely sum of $50 dollars (NOT US DOLLARS). That was many years ago and I had it re finished and it is a prized possession in my home.

I also have a mahogony four poster bed and my sofa;s were also bought second hand. Go for quality and it will never let you down. Blessings

I grew up in extreme poverty, so USED anything is no big deal to me. We actually used to get much of our furniture out of other people's trash. Someone would set a recliner to the curb, my mom and her boyfriend would take it, fix it up, throw a blanket over it, and we'd use it for years to come. For awhile our coffee table was a spool that you usually see large wires on. Our TV was held up by a piece of plywood sitting on top of 2 cinder blocks. We never owned anything brand new.

Many of the things in my home now are used. My kitchen table and chairs were given to us by my in laws, they found them at a garage sale. I have 2 bookcases, one was purchased at the Salvation Army, another given to me off Freecycle. My daughter's bed was given to me off Freecycle. My computer desk used to be my foster mom's and I got it after she died. My dresser was also hers. I can't even remember where my oldest son got his dresser, but it was used when I got it, and probably given to me by someone. The baby's crib came from Freecycle, my toddler's bed came from the Salvation Army, and my 6 year old had a car bed (it's now in my shed) that someone was giving away.

The items in the house that were purchased new mostly came from hubby's work. Our TV, blu ray player, sofa and love seat, our bed, my boy's bunk bed, the fridge, the freezer, the washer and dryer, and both of our computers all came from hubby's work. We plan on purchasing a stove from his work next, after we finish paying off the bunk beds, and I'd eventually like a new dining room set. After that we'll probably be ready for a new living room set again, and my washer will probably die soon too.

My family has bought used furniture. My parents stripped a piece of furniture and added tile to it to be used as a buffet kinda thing. They did a really good job thinking that they only paid 75 for the piece. Im not to sure if i would buy couches used, i would buy a used couch if it was leather and in good shape im not to sure about fabric as i dont want it to smell like others i guess. I would buy any type of real wood furniture used as you can refinish it and make it look good. Also glass stuff i would use because you can clean it and then hte wrought iron stuff you can paint that type of furinture and make it look new again so i think used furiniture is good if you are getting a good deal on it. We've gotten used furniture before from the side of the road or at yard sales. Our couch and love seat we got from my sister. As long as they are in good shape and not real nasty dirty, I have no problem getting used furniture. Nowadays, things are too expensive.

I have used furniture in my home most of it is second hand but in great or good shape. I feel that used furniture is good if it is in good shape. I see no harm in buying used furniture.

I bought my recliner used from the classified ads. Also found my daughter's bed in the classifieds. Bought a patio table, umbrella and chairs from a neighbor's garage sale. I've since had to replace the umbrella and chairs, but the table is still good. My daughter has a hand me down dresser and desk from her aunt. My bedroom set was my grandmother's.
Getting the table and chairs for just $20 sounds like a steal. Hope you enjoy it for years to come.
