Any Filipino moonlighting as writers here? I need your help!  | |  Silly question, I know. Because there are LOTS of Filipino myLotters who are very passionate about writing, as I am. Well, the reason for this discussion is that time and again, I see some of my fellow countrymen asking where they can get writing gigs or if it's really possible to earn by doing freelance writing. Anyway, just recently, I came across a site that actually has a lot of postings for home-based, online and freelance writing jobs. To get shortlisted or offered writing possiblities, I had to subscribe to their group. Now the thing is (and this is where my myLot friends can help me BIG TIME), I have to send something from the site (it's more of a project posting) and a copy of my sample article to at least 10 Yahoo contacts of mine who are interested in writing as well. Just 10 e-mail addresses and then I'd be qualified to receive writing gigs from them. Each of these 10 contacts need to do the same thing so they can qualify for gigs as well. More like a chain reaction. So if there are any interested Filipino myLotters here, perhaps we can all help each other. It's just to promote the site to others who may be looking for homebased sidelines. I regularly send articles to Associated Content, Helium and Triond. I haven't tried the sites you mentioned because I think they're exclusive for US residents only. | |

I would need to send a sample article to them (homebasedwriterjobs) with my resume and in the e-mail loop, I have to include at least 10 other Yahoo contacts of mine. The purpose of including the contacts is for these contacts to get wind about the site as well and perhaps would want to join the listing for possible writing jobs. The actual e-mail where I would attach my sample work and resume includes a link to the blog of the site. It's actually more of just trying to promote their site/blog so others may be given an opportunity to explore their creative side. I am a member of most writing sites. However this one is for a possible writing job. | |
