| New Illinois Gov. Pat Quinn Plans To Raise Income Taxes 50 percent  | | | |  Chicago has blood running in their streets 24-7 it is unbelievable the crime and murderers taking place every single day in Chicago,now the handy-dandy new democrat governor has announced today he will be increasing personal tax up to 50% on individuals,as well increasing the personal income tax rate.
Yesterdays news out of Chicago the Chicago Sun Times newspaper reported child abuse is on the rise in the city of Chicago due to parent's being stressed out over mounting bills and the awful economy problems in the country and increasing the personal income tax rate,what is this new governor thinking raise working people taxes in such seriously hard times?

TRIBUNE UPDATE: Gov. Pat Quinn today acknowledged he plans to raise income taxes in the wake of a Chicago Tribune story that he is considering a 50 percent increase on individuals. He declined to confirm details in the Tribune report, which said he is looking at raising the personal income tax from 3 percent to 4.5 percent as well as increasing personal exemptions.

| |  It's times like this I am glad I don't live in a state that has an income tax, or sales tax for that matter. even some of our more liberal folks in the state legislature and our democratic governor has pretty much said they have no interest in getting one either. they understand the dsmage it would do, especially to asmall state like ours. they realize that what little industry we already have, would pack up and leave as well as a population and workforce that would follow.
