Do you live with your parents after you get married?

Absolutely! We here in the United States for the most part do live apart from our parents after we get married. Occasionally, there are circumstances that require couples to live at home, but it is not the normal thing to do.

We had our wedding preparations for one year and at the same time have our own house built. So right after the wedding, we have our own house to live and need not live with our parents.

There are instances that some cannot afford to have their own house yet for limited resources but if ever i will get married and i don't have home to live i think it is still good to stay at my parents house temporarily until i get my own home. It would be my first priority to have my own place to live so i will be more independent and more responsible wife to my future husband and kids.

After we get married we live apart with my parents in law, but sometimes we go there for some gatherings~~~but now i don't have parent in law(both of them are passed away) so we're free for what we want.

so do i. i think most people do.

im not married=D lols.. im not sure about my aunts, but my uncle lived with my grandparents for a few years after he graduated, but directly after marriage he left. i think that the same goes for my dad. i do not plan to live with my parents in the future, but i will definitely visit them for family gatherings frequently^^

I wont live near to my parents house. It seems like a hell to me. I used to live from the other village. Then have visit to my parents weekends or free time.

In India it is customary for the sons and their families to live together with their parents.
Today, with children moving out of the family home in search of jobs, the parents often stay with their children, wherever the children have migrated. They rarely stay alone.

We live apart from both our families and as of now, we are currently renting an apartment. We are planning to get a house of our own in about a year or two.
