Which job do you have and what is the average salary for that post?

I work in a restaurant. The average wage in that profession here is about $7.15/hour. I make a little over $8/hour...

For 41 years, I've been a high school English teacher. Florida is one of the lowest-paying states for teachers, so I make about $67,000 a year, while teachers elsewhere would be making several dozen more dollars. Still, I love it, so when I can't make ends meet, I just remind myself that it will all work out and look for part-time work to help. My poor health is the reason I don't have enough money, but the major cut in pay lately made it all worse. Oh, well, this will pass, too!
