 my son just turned 2 and he is sometimes dont listen to me or when he gets in trouble he throughs him self down on the floor and has a really big fit what should i do????

My pediatrician told me the same thing. Ignore the negative behavior because when they get attention from it, you are rewarding them for it. My daughter would literally throw herself, so just be ready to catch them if they are headed for a header!

| 6. bobmnu (2658) | 4 years ago |  I agree with those who say walk away and in a firm but gentle voice that you will talk to him when he calms down. If he gives up and crys tell him that you will talk to him when he stops crying. As a 2 year old he is trying to find the limits and when you give in you have given him an expanded limit and he will try more. You have to walk theat fine line between total care and an out of control child. Decide what battles you are going to fight. one simple suggestion is to give him choices, but you control the choices. Do you want to wear the brown pants of the black ones? Good Luck
