It's not a surprise, really. I've heard it and probably also read it here sometime ago. But let's break it down on a personal basis. Let's say a crime, maybe murder happened to your family. The neighbour came down to help. Now they are not the victims, they just live down the street and thought they should help. They were warned, by the murderer, not to help. And yet they did anyway.
If you are the victim's family, would you say 'oh I didn't even know you are helping' or 'we should kill this people that help us, they have no defenses!'
I mean maybe our military is ant compared to US military. But Canadians lost their lives in this war too. Maybe there are more US soldiers died in this war, but does it mean this is a ground to make jokes on?
Even if this show is not aired at the time when fallen soldiers bodies returned home, do you still think that we don't have military? So those soldiers that were sent to battle - what were they? cooking school graduates that use guns and grenades instead of utensils?

If we are there because we are attacked, well who cares what other people in some other country say. But we are there to help them.
terrorists never even mentioned about canada until they know we are helping the US
and we still stay there until some ppl in the govt decided to take a break.
I don't care about his apology, in fact if I were the govt I wouldn't even ask for it. I will send this video link to govt of other countries that send their troops to the same battle. See what they think. Economy is a big issue right now, and sending people to war is a lot of money.
