America isn't in good shape right now. Getting a job are hard too since there are many people laid off. I think the best time is to wait for an year.

I think you should wait, because a lot of Americans are out of jobs. Any foreigners taking jobs away from Americans are seriously being frowned upon.

Although people say there aren't many jobs available, if you are resourceful, you will find work. Check out www.craigslist.org in whatever area you decide to move, there is an extensive section where people place want ads.

I am realizing more and more that a lot of the current economic situation is blown out of proportion. There are lay-offs and cut-backs and people are spending less, but there are always opportunities to make money.

I say, if it's your dream, go for it.

I'm from Oregon, and the job market where I live is terrible. A year from now, it will probably remain at this level. Good things about Oregon are that we are fairly proactive in the environmental department, our minimum wage raises every year, and we are somewhat liberal in our politics.
