Girls wear make-up to impress guys?

Hello TintedJewels, for me as a married lady i do wear makeup to make myself look more sophisticated and elegant. It depends on how you apply makeup for yourself, it should be that light and according to your face, to the occasion and situation if it is morning event, then you need light makeup, if it is evening occasion, then the makeup should be a bit darker.

But you see, ladies just don't wear makeup to attract men. Most men don't like women to wear makeup like my husband. But i only do put makeup to make myself to just cover some blemish or sometimes i put only lipstick and eyeliner to make it more appealing.

If ladies here studied cosmetology, they themselves would like to wear makeup because that makes us different from men. Besides, it beautifies a lady more. Happy Mylotting!

I don't wear make up just to impress anyone. I wear make up such as foundation to cover up all the redness on my face. I put on pencil through out my eyebrows so you can see them since i have blonde hair. I also wear mascara so my eyes stand out. I have worn make up since i was 13 and i probably wouldn't leave the house without it on.

I wear make up to cover up some stuff on my face and to appear a little better and more presentable. I also like to feel pretty. But why do I like to feel pretty? I guess because of guys. But when I'm putting on make up I never think "I need to impress the guys...let me put on some make up to look hot." That would be funny. I will admit though, if no guys lived on earth I probably wouldn't wear make up. Unless I was trying to impress a girl. Certain make up is specifically made to grab a guys attention but ordinary stuff we wear is becase it is socially acceptable and often expected to be worn.

Well, for me, I think that when girls wear make-up, to impress guys is one of the reasons. But mainly, for me, wearing make-up makes me feel good about myself.

I'm sure a lot of girls especially the younger generation wear make up mostly to make themselves look pretty and attractive to the guys.:o)

In my case however, I only started wearing makeup 2 years after I started working as a teacher. I had to wear makeup to look more mature because I looked young for my age. But that was almost 10 yrs. ago. Now I'm finding ways of using makeup to make me look younger! LOL.
