Why is a men abandoning their kids legal.......... |
|
I have not been with my sons father since my son was 2 months old. He is now 8 years old. Now His father has never really had anything to do with him since. And on many occasion he has been rather mean to my son. The Fathers family has never really accepted my son. And really my son could care less I have never spoke ill of his father in front of him. I feel that my son will and so far has formed his own opinion about his real father. My Daughter father has stepped in and took the place of his real dad and is doing a great job of being his dad. But what just really pisses me off is that fact that his real Father gets SSI and is no way held responsible for any finical help. All is even fine with that Because between me and my B/F my kids do not do with out. But the fact that this man can have as many kids as he wants and does not have to ever pay any support for them is just sickening. He refuses to sign his right away so my B/F can adopt him he never see him even though he just live 2 blocks from us. He never buys him anything for his bday or Christmas or nothing like that. He is just forgotten about about and just kinda pushed aside by his father. Is that or not child abuse, abandonment I do believe it is called. Why is nothing being done to men like this. I am sure he is not the only one.

Just imagine, some day, you raise your child right, he becomes a successful person. Then you ex - husband should regret about what he had done. Because your son had nothing to do with him then.

I don't see how a father can not want to see his children tho. I would never want to be parted from my kids, I can't stop their mother leaving them, but I never would, no matter what.

But I feel that these people should be held responsible in some way I do not feel in any way this should be legal. There is nothing stopping my sons father from seeing him except himself. I have tried so many times to call him to see if he wanted to see him or spend time with him with no luck!

3. tamarafireheart (12649) | 10 months ago | Hi sxrxnrr,
Men like that makes me sick, the goverment should make him pay for his son through the SSI he is getting. We have CSA (Child Support Agency) they get the fathers that are not paying maintence for their kids when they split up with their wives of partners and if they are unemployed, it is taken out of their money and sent to the child's mother. Even if hey try to avoid paying for their child they can't and if they haven't paid then when the CSA catches up with em, they have to pay back dated, so there is no hideing place for them. Your ex should have the snip before he reprocuses more children.

Your ex has you over a barrel with the SSI thing, because no matter how you slice it they will not make him pay... I know 3 of my kids fell into that category with their father. In some states if you were never married you retain sole custody and that may help with the adoption issue, however since you are not married to the man a judge might object to it... Again it will depend on what part of the country you are in and sometimes what county. Good luck it is a hard thing to watch a child go without their natural father.

5. Thoroughrob (7990) | 10 months ago | I am a stepmother to my son that is 15. We had gotten custody of him when he was 18 months. When they went to court, they asked us if we wanted them to to get child support from her. We told them she was on SSI. They told us that it would come from her check. We chose not to, because they said if we did we would have to give her visitation. She had said that she did not want it and we left it at that.
