What would you do if you find a unclaimed cell on a road?

I defenitely would not touch the phone.I will leave where it is & just walk away.You never know now in India whether its a bomb or just a cell phone.Why take chances as I have my family to look after & I treasue my life as well.

I did lose my cell phone. It fell out of my pocket at a concert. A girl found it and went through my contacts. She called my dad (because he was clearly marked as "Dad" so she was probably relatively sure that would be someone I'd be in contact with sooner than later) and told him where she found my phone and that she'd be taking it to the lost and found at the university where the concert was held.

I was grateful although I kind of wished she'd have mailed it to him or something because getting it out of the lost and found at the college was a nightmare. But because someone else helped me when I lost my phone, I think I'd do the same for someone else....What's the phrase? Pay it forward?

I have received one such cellphone long back and returned it to the college management. I think now after losing three cell phones, I will keep the cellphone as GOD's compensation. I think I will not return my cellphone this time if I get that back.

Pick it up and give it to Govinda Patterippad [Bhattatirippad], the honest Tantrik, so that he will find the right owner through Tantrik means and give it to them. If I give it honestly to the police it may not reach anywhere, as I see the many stolen vehicles lying recovered by Police but unclaimed in P.S. But the biggest question is from Tantrik, to Police to Lokayukta are there any honest people around?

If I found a cell phone on the road I wouldn't consider keeping it because if I lost mine I would like to think that some kind soul would return it. No matter how many phones I lost myself, I would not keep one that I found because I just wouldn't feel right knowing someone may be looking for it and possibly feel very upset about it.

Yes I will call one of the phone's owner friend list and tell the person that I've found this cellphone. I won't keep it for myself for it's very easy to find the owner, no I'm not being a hypocrite about this matter, it's just not my style. It's different when we found money on the street because it's hard for somebody to claim the money, so it's up to us whether we're gonna use it for ourself or give to it to somebody else. Well I could keep it and use it as my own, or I can take it to this place I know and get money for it or I can use their own phone to find the real owners, these are my options. Well my answer is just what you said, I would use their contact lists to find the real owners and call them up!

I would most certainly return it. The person who looses it would be having a tough time in trying to find it. I would try and contact someone from the contact list of his to return it to him. Even if i had gone through loosing a phone, i would not want someone else to to go through it.

Of course I will send it back to the owner. Though I haven't met such a thing, my father encountered. It was a costly one. However, he gave back with no hesitate. I think it is everyone should do.

I will return that cell to owner for sure.I have done many times.I dont like take anything others happily.Even if i find some coins on the road i will drop them in hundi in any temple.It was a habit from my childhood and learnt it from my parents.Happy mylotting sananu...
