How do you apologize?

That depends on who any why... If I like the person I'll be as sincere as possible, if I don't and am forced to I'll usully layer with with lots of sarcasm and spite (because I'm nice like that:D).

Sorry is one of the hardest word to say.

I think sometimes between a married couple it's hard to admit you are wrong. There are many times that I have gone off on my husband about something but for some reason I won't say the words either. I have heard him apologize to me but then he has a tendency to repeat his mistakes more and it's like if he doesn't really mean his apology. I think we just decide to start talking again so that is our new approach to apologizing. It's ok with me because I'd rather not here that he is sorry when the next day it might be repeated.

Your dad doesn't really 'apologise' at all. He lets people assume (if they want to) that he was wrong by pretending that what he said or did was as if it never happened. That is not an apology.
Actually 'apology' comes from the Latin 'apologia' meaning an explanation. Just saying 'Sorry, I was wrong' is not (in the strict sense) an apology. Even less effective is the tactic your dad uses.

Well, people are people and men, especially, need to preen their feathers like a jungle fowl and pretend that they never really fell out of the tree (or, at least, that they meant to do that just to make people laugh).

Some people just love others enough to accept their paltry attempts at preserving their pride as a kind of apology. It keeps everyone more or less happy.

I apologize only if I find my fault. It's hard, but I don't find the value of someone's pride while he's even not brave enough to admit his mistakes. In fact shouting out "sorry" is not the only way to show your repentance, but it's impossible to act as if nothing has happened. Anyway, in my case I must do something to ransom my error.

to be honest, i will say sorry if i realise my mistake. or i can never say anything about apologize.but sometimes i did not say sorry to my hubby even if i had found my mistake thanks to face. i would wait his opening after our cold war. i know i was wrong .i will not .

One day you will become a dad and then you will know how difficult it is saying sorry to your son. I am not saying that it is bad saying sorry to your younger ones but the ego comes in our way. We don't want to feel small in front of them.

Same is with me, I feel it very difficult appologize in front of my family!
