Madonna adopting another baby...  

I agree, I have five kids and it's alot of work. After having my fifth child I tied my tubes. I stay at home with my kids, along with homeschooling them. I can't see a celebrity who is busy making films and barely has time for their own spouses having the time to deal with a child.

Madonna just got a divorce so is she lonely? Angelina Jolie might have the help of her boyfriend Bradd Pitt but they haven't been together too long to say it's forever. Octumom is another story, she is so busy making money of her lifestyle to have so many kids that I think she stopped focusing on what she really wanted, which was being a mom.

I know why they adopt from Africa...

1 - its easy - theres loads of babies in Africa needing to be adopted

2 - its one of the few countries you can get BABIES for adoption (I mean kids younger than about 2)

3 - it increases their popularity/publicity as a celeb. There's so many charities set up for overseas aid, its obviously a subject close to many people's heart

Madonna probably needs all the good publicity she can get at the moment in light of her recent divorce.

In my opinion the worst thing about this is her age in relation to the children she's adopting. She could have grandkids and even great grandkids at her age, not adopting tiny babies!

My mom tried to adopt a child in her late 30's and the adoption agency told her that she was too old. I don't know how or when the laws changed. I think you are right that this is a tax deduction, good publicity, and it is easier to adopt babies in Africa rather than here in the United States.

Do you really think so? She just got a divorce, probably dating again too so where does this child fit in with her new life? I think her having her own children already is great, why couldn't she just donate money to the local orphanage there to help the facilities? Why not help donate money for other couples to be able to adopt or even help in other ways?

Ok andalond, I accept ur view. At least Madonna is doing this much but what about the other celebrities across the globe? What good are they doing? Our eagle eyes stop there where we see a celebrity doing something and we become eye closed cuckoo in case of those. Is not it netter than nothing. At least she is doing something for people and we must respect or take into account people's whims.

Yes there are some movie stars that maybe do it with a kind heart from the beginning. Nicole Kidman with Tom Cruise? I know she adopted kids but she hasn't adopted any more children. She adopted her two children when she thought her life was set with Tom Cruise. Angelina Jolie is great and I think right now she is doing good with Brad Pitt. I think it's great that Madonna is adopting but only if she plans on being a full time mom who would rather commit to her children than a man again.

Yes that is a good point that this child will definately have a better life than he/she ever could of had in Africa. If this adoption goes through then maybe it will be something that is meant to be.

I have nothing against a single mother adopting a child because first of all she is single and the child is already born. I just think that a person should be doing it for the right reasons. Is she really willing to be a mom to these kids and not just let a nanny help her raise them? Look at Octumom who is a single mom and said she wanted children. Yes she might have wanted children in the beginning but I think right now her mind is set on how much money she is making out of this whole circus. Believe me when I was told I couldn't have kids I wanted to adopt. I was criticized for not being married and going through a divorce. I didn't have the resources Madonna has to have made it go through but I am just wondering is it for the right reasons?

I think so too that those kids have already been abandoned by their parents. They need a mom who will honestly love them, not just a companion to keep her from feeling lonely or young. I would love to see these kids years later and really wonder if they knew they were loved besides all the materialistic things she gave them. Look at Lionel Richie he adopted one daughter and it was to have a daughter. Maybe just to experience being a father. I doubt he wanted to adopt alot of kids just to save the world. I'm sure he wanted to have a child.

Actually, from what I heard when they were on the Oprah Winfrey show, she had pretty much been abandoned by her natural parents and she was just hanging around and they took her in and adopted her. So they did not go to an agency looking for a child, they just happened upon a child that needed a family. I do not know how much of this is accurate, as we all know, celebrities are very good at changing the truth to suit their own agenda. All I know is that in the case of Nicole Richie, it seems as though her parents were attempting to do something good.

I think your comment is the best. I was just thinking of Senator John McCain whose wife adopted a child. I think in that sense she really fell in love with that child. Yes there are so many things these kids need why not set up an orphanage or a women's home to help these mom's keep their babies? Now that might bring about a healthier child who knows his/her mom was given help to raise them. I love your response.

I want to get adopted if Madonna would leave me her inheritance. I think I heard that the adoption would go through which means that they catered to her because she is a celebrity. I know there were issues of whether they would let her adopt since she was a single mom, I guess the money won.

I remembered now that the first time she adopted from Africa it was said she needed to be there and that she let herself be seen for a few occasions but to some people that did not met the quota of living, I forget why, so yes, they are willing to cater to her because the government is corrupt.

Now that I am more sleepy and wanting to go back to sleep, I remember Joan Crawford and the two kids she adopted, was that a love story or what? Even my kid remember no more wire hangers now.
